I'm sure this has been discussed but,I can't help but voice my desire for Maggette to come to Houston.I'm not even sure that we have the assets to make it happen.Perhap's Luther and a 1 for starters.Maggette's upside is huge and I believe he can at the very least be a Ron Harper(past his prime)type role player. Is it just a pipedream to add that much talent in one player at this point?

Would you give up Shane Battier?

I don't think I would but I think Shane Battier would be enough to get Maggette.

Well the Clippers signed Tim Thomas, who plays a similar game to Radmanovic. The Clippers have been looking to trade Maggette for a long time now, they tried in the middle of the season but there weren't any takers because of Maggette's broken foot.

It works for JuHo, if JuHo worked for LAC, and why would he?

I've wanted this for a while but it's just a pipedream. We can't have it all.

You sound like a Dallas Mavericks fan. We just want a decent 2 guard.

Maybe when he learns to D up and his body stops breaking down.

Maggette could be that great shooting guard with size that the Rockets have been after, but they have nothing of value to offer the Clippers, unless they could somehow use the TPE to take on about $4.2M of "unwanted salary" from the Clippers in addition to packaging smaller contracts for Maggette's ~$7M per year salary. In all likelihood, that's not going to happen.

bima... that would have to be a separate trade. you can't add players to a trade exeption. we could promise to have 2 separate trades, one including juwan and luther then another taking on salary.

Maggette is only 25 and his body is breaking down at an alarming rate. At this rate, don't think he will be able to play by time he is 30? He is going to be the next Allan Houston and retire halfway through our contract.

    2003-04 73 games played
    2004-05 66 games played
    2005-06 32 games played

    I'd rather have Bonzi.

I like the way Bonzi breaks down the defense. I would prefer him over Maggette. Unfortunately our chances of landing either one is very slim.

Only way to get Bonzi or Maggette would be to deal Battier, that would be unlikely at this point. Well one thing about dumping Stro for Battier is that we can at least have discussions about trading for guys like Bonzi and Maggette. I don't think Stro's trade value was very high around the league.

Howard/Head/2ndrounder for Corey maggette is plausible. Since Howards contract is ending thats some cap relief,Head can be a backup 2,a future draft pick, it seems like a good deal for the clippers. I personally wouldnt think the rockets would go for it considering they are cutting themselves down at the 4. Like him or hate him Juwan is our starting 4 without him who is going to step into that role?

Maggette is terrible. He's flashy, young, and athletic but there's a reason he regularly sat in the 4th quarter for the Clippers. His defense is nonexistant, he's highly turnover prone, and his shot selection is absolutely atrocious.

It isn't plausible for the Clippers unless they are smoking crack. Juwan has 3 years left on his contract. Why would the Clips give up a very productive player for a worn out old shoe + Luther + a 2nd rounder?

It seems that we do not have enough assets to done the deal! it's unrealistic.
How about MIKE MILLER, one of the best FRIENDs of T-Mac? He can play 2 and 3 and is the best 6th man last season.
