Anyone work in sports video editing?

    i'm separating from the military in a few months and i'm trying to find a job that combines my two hobbies, basketball and video editing. if anyone works in that field, i have a few questions i'd like to ask. thanks in advance

    No offense, but If you're trying to get a job of editing movies and stuff, I'm almost positive experience with windows movie maker is not going to cut it

    Pretty true. U need to know the big three...AVID, Final Cut Pro, Premiere, you need to know how to edit Beta..and most likely you need either previous job experience and/or good connections if you wanna make it anywhere. You also need a kick-ass demo reel.

    lol, i'd have to agree with you there. that yao mix was the first one i ever did over a year ago. i have been working with premiere pro.

    thanks for the info junkyarddwg. i haven't heard of avid or beta, but i'll look them up.

    I'd say AVID and Final Cut are the two big ones, though JD is right all around.
