Walt has really stunk it up and has not earned the right to start. This latest game to me does not warrant continuing to start him (he was 5 of 12 from the field guys;not to mention a crucial mistake that could of cost us the game in the final minutes). We need to bring him off the bench for some instant offense. We should start Carlos Rogers for some youth, athleticism, and his most extraordinary gift;HIS DEFENSIVE PROWESS (This man can throw in some blocks for us). He's not one dimensional like Walt is either. Rogers can score down low and can rebound like an man possessed. He can also run the floor better then "THE WIZARD" which would make him more suitable to play with Francis and Anderson. Who knows, maybe Walt will get his shot back when he comes off the bench....... ------------------ GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!! [This message has been edited by Rocket101 (edited December 06, 1999).]
I completely agree with you about Rogers. We should put Rogers at 3. Looks to me, Rogers is better than previous Horry. Roger's height will also make up Barkely's weak defence. Rogers is a gift Portland send to us. Portland coach is so and so. Go Rockets!
If you are going to wish, here's mine: Carlos starting, Barkley off the bench Sam Mack starting, Wizard off the bench. Where is Sam Mack?
i guess i'm the only guy that will support walt starting... but i remember a while back, i was one of the only few supporting Drew. but look now... he's playing well now. what happened to all of those people that said we should cut this guy? anyways, the reason Walt starts over Rogers is his outside shot. say what you want about his fg%, but he does knock down the 3 when he's open... and that's what Rudy wants. (you guys are quick to bring up how he almost cost us the game last night, but didn't mention the big 3 he made in the end) and i'm going to differ here, but i think the Wiz runs the floor better than Carlos. Carlos is a better finisher, but he can't push the ball like the Wiz. he's almost like a 3rd guard out there. i like bringing carlos off the bench, because he's the total opposite of Wiz, and it throws the team off. and like what i said about Drew earlier... watching the Wizard since his college days, he is so much more talented than Carlos. his confidence just isn't there right now, and benching him won't help it. Bryce and Shandon had terrible starts, but Rudy kept playing them, and now they're contributing alot... so next up, it's the Wizard's turn!
Jackyl's pretty good, I've got their first CD. 'I Stand Alone' is a great track, and 'The Lumberjack' is pretty good, too. That is what this thread is about, right?
