I don't know for sure, but I have this strong feeling that the Rockets will resign Derek Anderson and offer Moochie Norris a ten year, fifty million dollar contract. Yes, with this brilliant management team, it could happen.

brian cook = young juwan howard + range
kenyon martin = anti-jvg knucklehead
etan thomas = less athletic stro
anderson varejao = we already have one ryan bowen
kenny thomas = older chuck hayes
carlos boozer = luxury tax

...good ideas, but not exactly the board/block types that we're missing. we need an enforcer 4. if only fizer was ready...

Yea but most of these "enforcers" are usually all-stars. Plus don't ever compare anybody to ryan bowen. He is the most useless player in the league. Varaejo can rebound like a motherf. He is a good shot blocker and a good defender. I think JVG would love him.

Varejao is staying with Cavs. He's the reason they're looking to get rid of Gooden.

Varejao is bench fodder. I've heard the Cavs are going after Nene.

Well, as the playoffs went on, Gooden played less minutes in favour of Varejao with Marshall getting the most at PF.

One of those three is out for next season and all signs point to Gooden.

Damn it man, easy on the CAPS.

House is certainly a FA , and has advised that he will be testing the market. He shows promise as a streaky shooter and an energy boost off the pine.

Problem is he probably can't play with the kind of control needed to work under Van Gundy. Takes bad , rushed shots.

And we as a franchise should forever have an aversion to additions called Eddie... Unless Coach Whoopi Goldberg wants to take over the reigns. :)

Those guys make too much money though. We would lose two players for one which hurts depth, then have three guys on our team who make max or near max money. All that will do is cripple the bench even further. We have our two stars. Battier gives us a solid player at a reasonable price. Signing guys who make 10 million a year is not going to work as long as yao and tmac are on the team. We need to look at players like Rasual butler and jared jeffries.

Would you want Moochie or DA on the team this year. Last time I looked they werent. Say what you want about management but at least they were able to get rid of their mistakes which isnt easy. I think most people were happy with signing stro and DA last year before the season started. Then during the season everyone complained about it and said we had to get rid of them. Now they are both gone or on their way out and everyone complains about that. Its not like we lost a bunch to get them. Stro and DA cost us nothing since they both signed as FA.

Everyone needs to stop whining and just wait for next year.
Not only is Al Harrington's future in the balance, but he is the linchpin to the Hawks' free-agent summer.

He's the Hawks' strongest tool in their quest to secure a veteran point guard via sign-and-trade and he's also one of a few players who will set the tone for the entire league as the NBA's free agency period begins today.

...Teams with reported interest in acquiring Harrington include Indiana, Los Angeles Lakers, New York, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Golden State, Houston, Detroit and Chicago. And that list could grow depending on the tenor of the negotiations between Harrington and the Hawks, which will pick up in the coming days.

"You have to let the process work itself out and remember that first and foremost that this is a business," Harrington said Friday by phone from his offseason home in Los Angeles. "Teams make business decisions this time of year and so do players. It's all business right now."
