Just said on NBC local that he'll be in the studio for Sports Sunday this weekend.

I'd say there is a very good chance he'll be signing here, possibly even soon.

great, you know, I don't care about his antics and his ego. He was fine in Houston. I think he just needs a winning enviroment.

James wants to get paid and the Rockets dont have the money so he will not be signing with us. Quit dreaming.

Why would he sign so soon...that would be idiotic. He should wait till late in into free agency to see what kind of offers he is getting. Afterall, the man is looking to get PAID!

he is aware that he can get more money than we can offer him. if he wants to play here badly enough, he will, and he'll be getting paid the same amount to play here tomorrow as he would 3 months from now.

well, all the Rockets have is the MLE, so it's not like he would be forcing the Rockets to overpay.

Do we have somebody staked out at his house to see if McGrady is over there already?

I am glad if he is coming back. I just hope Rockets willl not trade him in a hurry again. That is gonna hurt.

    from Earlier poster

I agree - why would he come here this soon? - he can and will get more in the FA market. People around here are taking for granted he will sign here...

for all we know, he could be using Houston for leverage on other teams. meaning there probably is a "cost" of getting him out of Houston. Hopefully I'm wrong though

Can we get Zach Randolph???? He is a 20-10 guy with good range for a PF. I dont know his contract so i dont know if it is possible. Plus i hear Portland doesnt want him.

We don't have the kind of contracts outside of Yao and McGrady it would take to pull off a deal like that. Besides, Randolph is a black hole that would absolutely kill team chemistry.

He's an overweight, overpaid, selfish ball hog that has a reputation for being uncoachable and has little desire to improve or defer to anybody else. He doesn't pass, takes mostly low percentage shots and plays little defense.
