It wasn't that great, IMO. Action scenes sucked, only thing kept me interested in the movie was Kate Bosworth... man she's hot.

I just came back from watching it. Great, great flick. True to the franchise so the old fans and new will appreciate this. Brandon Routh is as good as it gets as Clark Kent. Great cast, story, action is well balanced. I recomend it to all.

Just saw it last night. Awesome movie. Great pickup from the superman 2. It just looks so much better with new technology. It is great to have a superman movie back after a long time.

Also i really think they can use some tricks or make Superman look smart. Like doing something other than just flying and saving a person from falling down. He can like throw something under them or do something creative. Kinda like what Spidey does, he can save 3 to 4 people at a time with throwing webs under them. Anyways the movie was awesom and i also recommend it.

Great Movie!! I saw it twice on Wednesday. Finally Superman has a movie not made in the 70's or 80's. I loved it. It lived up to all my expectations. I was speechless afterwards. Brian Singer did an outstanding job. Now Superman finally has a movie with CGI technology just like Spiderman and Batman. It was long over due, but worth the wait.

    **spoiler**

he kinda did this when he was flying through the city, flipped over while flying, and used his eye-lazer thingee to make a lazer-like film to stop the broken glass from falling on the people below the buildings.

I thought the movie was great. Then again, I am a huge Superman fan.

    **SPOILERS**

More like questions that deal with spoilers. If that's Supermans kid, why is he frail, and why doesn't Kryptonite bother him? It looks like him and Ms. Lane ain't hooking up, so is she considered to be his baby momma? Her fiance is supposed to raise this son that ain't his? Ain't that hoeish on her part? At the end of Superman 4, did he say he was going off to find Krypton?

    Half-human.

Also, before this movie I read this superman comic book where Lex removes Superman's son's powers. Thought that was going to happen here, lol.

    #1 - Don't reply to yourself.

#2 - Batman is not a superhero. When Aquaman can kick your ass, you know you're not a superhero. He's just a dude with tools.

    *SPOILERS*

I was kinda wondering if the Kryptonite (since the kid was half human and wasn't bothered by it), maybe activated his ability somehow. It was after that that he showed the first sign of any power. Also, did he seem less frail and to not have asthma problems after that?

In all, I really like the way they handled the kid. Subdued, never like OMG Superboy right away. I think the film showed some restraint in that regard...certainly the people I saw it with were wanting the kid to kick some ass, lol.

Just saw it and it was great. I liked the references to the first two and everything was just near perfect. A nice balance of action, story, emotion, romance, etc. All the characters were spot on and in many ways better than the original, especially Lex (no offense to Hackman). And speaking of Lex, it's nice to see him have some actual henchmen this time and not a couple of baffoons. My only minor holdups have to do with his return and James Marsden. I liked Cyclops' character in the movie, but I'm kind of waiting for them to get him out of the way, since Superman is supposed to end of with Lois anyways. And I liked his "return" but I would've liked the movie to explore more how people learned to deal with a world without Superman.

    Spiderman 2 > Batman Begins >= Superman Returns > X2 >>>>>>>>>>> X3

I'm surprised at all the Superman Returns love on here. I just wasn't into it. I guess I'm a bit tired of the traditional Superman themes. I.E. Superman and his relationship with Lois, and third wheel Clark. I thought she figured things out in Superman II. I guess her mind got erased or something.

And the new themes with this new fourth wheel guy AND a fifth wheel kid didn't excite me either.

And count me against the idea of a superkid. I just don't like what it could mean to future storylines. And they're definitely going to make more superman movies. SR just cleared 84 million in 5 days. Sequals are on the way for sure.
