While not a legit starter anymore, Wesely can still be a good role player off the bench next year (in reduced minutes). Given the many other holes we still need to fill (PG, SG, PF), i'll be happy if we can convince Wesely to resign for the minumum.
My sister works at the Pearland YMCA and he was there playing ball a few days ago. I told her to ask him if he was excited about playing with Brandon Roy. And of course if he was coming back. I'd love him off the bench. Or more accurately, "on" it.
No way i'd take Wesley back not because i dont think he is not worth the vetrans minimum but because Van Gundy might start Wesley at sg with his hustle and toughness.
i dont really like wesley but we will need some depth. And its always funny watching him stumble into the lane and falling down.
Wesley still has 1 more solid year left in his body and I'd love him to spend it with the Rockets. As a backup off the bench ofcourse not as a starter. Battier and Tmac will start at the 2 and 3 spot. I also wouldn't mind keeping Chuck Hayes as the primary backup to Juwan Howard either.
Some of you people seem to not know when to stop. The rockets need to move away from crap players like this, and old farts.
