God. It's so sad. I could donate money to charities but it never occurs to me to do so, but I'd GLADLY donate 20 bucks for this. My priorities are screwed.
I will throw in 50 and 50 to the tip jar if clutch organizes this. I need to contribute to tip jar anyways. I have been too lazy.
I've message Clutch and asked him to start/manage the fund. I'll also match my donation to the tip jar too. I said $10 before, but I'll go with $20 to both instead.
If clutch collects the fund, I'm in. But I bet he won't support this because it totally makes the rockets look like tards. Clutch hates this trade but he won't participate in bringing down the organization that he dedicated this forum to. Only reason I want to be part of this is to see the power of masses. But who knows, maybe Clutch will go along with it.
I understand your anger, but that's BS. If Gay can ever be as effective and smart as Shane, then we should all commit suicide. Numbers are one thing, what you do on the floor is another. Even those numbers alone'll rack a Rookie of the Year trophy for Gay.
lol, i don't think they need to read a page in the Chronicle to guage the public's rage on this. just notice the reaction during the draft party.
Yes, but this act, however useless it is, implies active ORGANIZATION (and actual $$$ spent) on the part of the Rockets' most well-informed, die-hard customer base, which may scare the bejeezus out of the team. After all, today's organized ad placement may become tomorrow's organized boycott. If the Rockets care one iota about customer loyalty, customer satisfaction, and general market research, they'll pay rapt attention to what the fans are doing (even if ultimately useless), especially enraged ones who can easily vote with their dollars. (And if the national media gets wind of this stunt, look out.) It costs about 5x as much money for a business to acquire a new customer than it does to simply retain that person. Hence, customer service is key. Okay, so this point doesn't translate too well to the sports industry, but you get my drift. Do. Not. Piss. Off. Your. Loyal. Fan. Base.
Exactly, Vescey. Accountability for the screwup is needed, if nothing else, and a hurricane of discontent forces the action. Besides, who knows, if enough of a firestorm erupts, I'm not so 100% sure we couldn't creatively weasel our way out of this mess.
I was supper pissed yesterday and even this morning. Now, I dont know what to think, but definately count me in. A full page ad would be sweet.
Crap, who's gonna organize this? Someone in Houston please take charge. I am in. Beat the iron while it's hot.
even a fellow red alert rocket rowdy agrees. i'm pissed at the moment... still... but i think there are more trades to come. it'll be good to see how it turns out in the end... however... ... it's not the end yet, and i trully believe that rudy will be something. anyway... not ro rescind the trade or whatever... that's not going to happen and it's stupid to think that, but, i think it would be cool to let the org know how the fans feel. i'm still down... even if there is a "brightside".
