A combo guard that shot less than 40% for his career in college. No freaking thanks. We got enough crappy shooters on our team. At least Mike James shoots around 45 percent.

I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we got Foye. He is undersized but he can get his own shot off, shoot, rebound, defend the small guards like Terry,Harris, and is mentally tough. He is athletic as well. I don't know if the Rockets are targeting him but I wouldn't be totally surprised if he is drafted with the 8th pick.

I think his point is drafting the best player available and not for need. Foye is a much safer pick then Brewer. Brewer could be a stud, and could be no different the Reece Gaines.

Bottom line I agree on the trading point. Many teams below would trade their pick and a future pick for Foye. So we can still trade down 3-5 slots and get Brewer.

If we are lucky we could trade down with Hornets, and probably still get Carney or Brewer, and pick up another 1st rounder. Lord knows we have many holes on this team.

Roy or Brewer. No trading down. No Foye.

I think a lot of people are getting Wade-envy right about now. The difference for Wade (and also Devon Harris for that matter) is that he has very long arms for his height, and plays much bigger than he's listed. It helps a tremendous amount on the defensive end since he pretty much plays and defends SGs fulltime.

Foye on the other hand has an average wingspan for an athlete, so he'll have a harder time sliding over to the two guard. Not to mention that I'm freaking tired of small SG's. Can we please use this opportunity to get a regular-sized SG/SF that can guard regular-sized swingmen in the league. Is that too much to ask.

If the rockets actually do take Foye over Brewer I'll be rather upset.

Exactly, Foye is easily the biggest sleeper of the draft. If one of the big names don't fall to us and all the attempts to trade up fall through, picking Foye does make sense. He's a complete player thats arguably the most NBA ready player in the draft.

Name one scout or one NBA exec that's checked him out and has one bad thing to say about him. ESPN's draft preview basically labeled him the wild card of draft with Bilas claiming he's so good he's worthy of the #1 overall pick and Greg Anthony comparing him to Chauncey Billups with more athleticism.

If we draft Foye, I would think it would be to complete a trade with Minny sending them Foye and Head for Roy or Gay, whomever they took or possibly a larger deal down the road in a couple of weeks, Howard and Foye for Roy/Gay and Jaric.

I wouldn't really mind too much if we ended up with Foye. I've been wondering why I've never heard any rumors about him and the rockets.

The thing about Foye compared to Luther or Wesley is that he is a legit scoring threat out there. He's not some spot-up shooter who's going to stand in the corner. He can score in many ways, and while he might be at a size disadvantage againt taller SG's, he'll have a quickness advantage on the other end. He's probably much stronger than Luther as well, so maybe he could guard bigger SG's in a manner similar to Wesley.

We need a slasher, and Foye can do that. I think he can be a 20 ppg scorer in this league, depending on his situation. If Tmac went down, god forbid, this guy would be good as a second scorer.

Foye has been claiming that he has PG skills and that he can play there. If that's true, then great for us. We can send Rafer packing or bring him off the bench. He can't be any more incompetent at the position than Francis, right?

We could probably play Foye and Luther at the same time in the backcourt. While we'd give up size, we would at least be able to shut down penetration with two quick guards.

I don't think that Randy Foye lasts until pick #8. Individual team draft boards are said to have him top-5.

Who knows what's information and what's disinformation, but I've read that both Minnesota and Boston are coveting Foye. I don't think he'll be on the board at #8.

Randy Foye had a .411 shooting % during his senior year. Can't wait to see what he can do in the pros.

We need to cross our fingers that Minny takes/wants him.

I know, he is one of the most talented players in this draft. I think his PG skills are underrated as well. He won't be the type of guy to strictly bring the ball up and dish, but he definitely can create. Just because he didn't do it in college doesn't mean he won't do it in the pros. He is a bigger stronger version of Ben Gordon and he takes it to the rack with more authority than Gordon. I know he might not be the best fit, but give the guy a chance if the Rockets do take him. He will surprise you with how much bigger and smarter he plays. He has a very good BBall IQ. He also has some of the best handles I have seen in a while.

I don't care who we draft as long they have a terrific transition game. Both O & D transition. If Foye can do that, I'm OK with him.

But picking him does appear to give less necessity to obtaining Mike James since they have similar skill sets. If James is the target, Brewer IMO has a more complimentary game to MJ.

Foy has really moved up the boards. I heard the ESPN draft round table yesterday and one guy had Toronto taking him at the #1. Is he that good.

I couldn't agree more. He could end up being the steal of the draft.

Randy Foye is one of the best basketball players in the draft. His only drawback is the height and arm length. His heart and drive are 100%. His basketball IQ is 100%. He is tough, driven. He is fast. I think his shooting will improve inthe pros with work, but mostly with open looks. He was the offensive focus of a 4 guard offense at Villanova. The defenses keyed on him. He will have a lot more room with Yao and Tracy. On D he should be a good fit against the fast guards we have to defend. Foye would not be a sexy fit, but he would be a part of a championship contending team. I don't want soft players like Dereck Anderson, or Swift. I want bulldogs, killers on the court, guys who never quit.

If we signed Mike James to man the two guard, I would be more happy with a player not as similer to Mike. If we are not going to sign Mike James, Randy Foye would be great.

Ben Gordon's mid-range shot is automatic. Easily the best from 20 feet in the game. Gordon Shot 43% from 3-pt range his final year in college. Their only similarity is their height.
