I actually like taking a nap before the games, so 7:30 or 8:00 works best for me. But then again, I take naps because I never go to sleep on time. ;)

7:00, which means 8:00 to me cuz I live on the east coast. But my vote probably doesn't count... :p

I think it would be an excellent move. I would be more apt to go since I wouldn't have to hang out at the office that much longer. Going home first just isn't an option since I work DT and live near Katy.

7:30 is good for out of town people if they want to attend the games

I perfer 7:30 personally, I live in Austin and when there is alot of east coast games on tv, sometimes i miss the first quarter or half because of league pass scheduling. But if im going to a game its 730 for sure.

I live in Austin, work late and have a 30 minute drive home so 7:30 is fine.

However, if I lived in Houston I would think 7:00 would be a better time. For those posters stating a 7:30 preference, I'd be curious to know how many games they attend. I'm thinking in these terms...

If 10 people tell me 7:30 is better and 4 people tell me 7:00 is better, on the surface 7:30 looks better. But if the first 10 only attended 10 games total among them and the second 4 each all bought multi-ticket packages, I'd have to weight the 4 over the 10.

7:00 would be my choice because it's already hard enough to stay up this late in the evening to watch all the games. ;)

7:00 pm is 2:00 am in germany... :p

If they are wanting to keep city workers in the city I thought that all of the city workers could make it to the Games by 6-30pm.
For the many who go to church in the evening 7-30 -8pm is a bettter time.
For Families in the suburbs, children are home , fed and ready to leave the house by 5pm. Dad gets home about 6pm and has his dinner, it's7pm. Mom & Dad get ready to leave and its 7-30pm so 8pm would be a better time.
Young singles and young doubles. get home by 6pm. get a snack and a quick polish up and they are ready to hit the road at 6-30pm , so 7pm would be a better time.
For the old folk they can be at the game no matter what time it starts as they are the most adaptable of all.
To get people to the games on time they should have a series of give aways, given out before the start of the first 30 home games , the ones that collect the complete series can get a free ticket to another home game.
Also there will be a surprize envelope hidden under a seat [ different one each home game] with a voucher for $1000 in it . The calling for the winner is made before the start of the game and it must be claimed before the game commences. Each winner or lack of a winner is given publicity and photo in the Chronicle. When the prize isn't claimed then the next game the prize will be $2000 and so on . This will create a fever for people to be there to participate in the money. They must be in their seats before the game to do so.Y
PS If they lock the doors at 7-30pm then there will be no late comers !!!

There's no way I could make any games starting at 7:00. 7:30 is perfect to make it just in time, but it'll be hard finding that parking spot.

7:00 would lure me, my family, and probably a lot of other Beaumont-and-similar-distance fans to more school-night games.

There's a logic behind the late start-times for NBA playoff games; if they get a bigger television audience by pushing the games back, then it would follow that the same principle applies to attendance, so 7:30 makes the most sense as a compromise.

The baseball comparison (7:05) just isn't valid, even though I'd guess that a significant number of die-hards on this board, maybe even the majority, would find that time ideal.

It seems like more teams in the East throw in 7:05 start times, so with Morey in charge, there must be compelling evidence to consider the change.

It matters not to me. I work in the Galleria area and live in the Third Ward, which is pretty close to the TC. I would go home from work, grab some dinner and head to the game. 7 pm would mean I rush a bit, and 7:30 would mean I'd be more leisurely.

I can see if I lived outside the loop or beltway that getting home and back into town would be a real pain. Of course, if I did live out there and I wanted to bring my wife, I'd either have to go home anyway and pick her up (in which case 7 pm would be a killer) or else she'd have to take a second car and I'd be paying to park two cars, which wouldn't make me too happy. And, it would mean I'd be paying to eat out, which doesn't make me happy either, because I'm a cheap b*stard.

I hope they're doing some demographics and some fancy-schmancy statistical analysis and not just relying on us.

Btw, since they're reading -- we don't want to see another season with Howard and Swift at power forward!

7:30 should be the earliest. If the games started at 7 it would be difficult to get there before tipoff for me and I go to all of the games. I would still go, but I would rather not miss any of the game.

7:30 is a good time for me. It gives me enough time to go to Live for cheap beers before the game starts.

Put me down for 7pm. I've had season tickets for a few years now. I'd rather rush to the game and get home earlier on weekday game nights.
