Tyrus Thomas is another Stromile Swift. He as upside potential....that's all he has...what has this guy done that's so great? Look at the numbers people. I think we should trade Swift, get Harpring from the Jazz, get REDICK for 2 guard because WE STILL NEED SHOOTING!!!!

I can see it now....they double yao or they double t-mac....and there's .........REDICK WIDE OPEN FOR THE THREE to WIN THE GAME!!!! Think he's gonna miss?? Look at the stats guys. This IS WHO WE NEED!!! We don't need the versatile athletic guy who can slash this way and that. That's TMACS job!! We don't need the BIG CENTER...we got YAO. We don't need the power forward who creates separation because Juwan is a solid player. We NEED........OFFENSE!!!!!!!!! Someone who can take over a game when Yao struggles or T-Mac can't buy a basket. Enter JJ REDICK.

PLUS HE CAN SHOOT FREE THROWS (when and if he does drive to the basket)

Ya... thats the thing about having played 6 years in the NBA. We now know that this guy is an underachieving, malcontent, overpaid, loser (reference the teams records he has played on).

We all wanted to draft Eddie Griffin too, and were VERY excited when it happened.

Why not send Juwan and Rybo to Portland, let Portland send Miles to NY, and let Zeke send us QRich. Then you've turned Juwan and Rybo into a legit top 7 rotational player. We sign Mike James and make the Luther Head and #8 pick to Atlanta for Roy.

    Yao
    TMac
    Stro
    James
    Roy
    Qrich
    Rafer
    Hayes
    Deke
#32 (Bobby Jones, or Hassan Adams)
    Re-sign Frahm or TE acquisition
    Get a 3rd PG (JLIII)
    Re-sign Wesley or TE acquisition
whoever (Penny Hardaway at league minimum)

You know the Knicks did make some comment that the two players they wanted most for Francis were Miles and Swift.

I even think the salaries match.

Francis supposedly wants back and Houston would consider it if the money could be solved.

Trade Juwan and the #8 to Portland for Miles and the #4.

Draft a SG (Roy or Morrison, based on who's available)

    THEN

send Miles and Swift to New York for Francis

THEN you can use the MLE on Tim Thomas who won't be back in Phoenix if they can't unload Marion, and the Rockets will be looking better than the Nets to him because he could start and get all those open looks from Yao. This way we keep Head as well, T-Mac stays at 3 and we dump Miles and Swift and their deals AND Juwan's deal.

We get the PG's, the 3 shooting 4, the 3 shooting SG with size, depth, better bench, and better cap situation all what Rockets want solved. Also get the 3rd scorer and 3rd option.

    PG Francis/Alston/Sura
    SG Roy or Morrison/Head
    SF T-Mac/Bogans (re-signed)
    PF Tim Thomas/Hayes
    C Yao/Mutombo

The Knicks probably couldn't get anything better for Steve right now than Miles and Swift and hell no one is going to help them with the mess they are in.

I'd rather have Francis, one of Roy or Morrison, Head, and Tim Thomas at PF, then have

Mike James, one of Roy or Morrison and Swift starting at PF, and no Head.

And I think the Rockets would be nuts too not also.

Not for the money. 3 max players is foolish, especially when Francis is a ball dominator and right now James is the better player.

And we don't want Thomas. He is Juwan Howard with more range. He DOES NOT have any desire to play defense.

    Wait James better than Francis?

Seriously, I don't believe in the same situation that James is ever as good as Francis.

Francis, Head, Roy, Tim Thomas is better than

    James, Roy, Swift

It's not happening. Your point is debatable at best. But more than that, we are not going to tote around Francis' max contract when we've got 2 max contracts already. That is fiscal stupidity for a very small incremental team improvement at best and a possible high risk of chemistry issues on top of that.

It has zero chance of happening, so why talk about it?

Have you checked the contracts? Francis is overpaid and an anti-team-player.

Francis' contract says that he's an 'anti-team-player'? Man, he should really get a new agent. :)
