For the last couple of days, whenever I go to myspace my browser locks up and I have to force quit it. It happens pretty much immediately, either right before or right after I log in. Is anyone else having that problem? Any idea what it might be? I've tried Safari, IE, Netscape and Firefox and the same thing happens with each of them. I'm also on an old system (Mac OS 10.2.8), so maybe that's got something to do with it.

I'm logged onto Myspace right now, and am looking at sexy 15 year olds. No problems logging in here. :)

It's kind of odd that it's happening on different browsers. My first thing to try whenever I am having persistent problems with browser(s) is to clear out the browser cahce (e.g. temporary internet files in I.E.)

It could also be an anomaly with a browser component, such as a flash player, so you may want to verify that your flash player is up to date.

Thanks, bobrek. I'll try to figure out how to update my Flash. I've already tried clearing caches, resetting Safari and restarting my machine.

If anyone else has any ideas, I'm all ears.

Got the latest flash player. Same problem. Found a guy on a Mac users forum that was having the exact same issue. Nobody there had any idea what was causing it.

Its weird, i had an issues about a month ago with bringing up any embeded video that needed to use Windows Media Player on an XP machine. Any browser I used, just closed automatically whenever i tried to bring up any video, through IE, Firefox, I even tried Netscape and Opera. But for some reason, just a few weeks ago, it stopped and started working again.

I would suggest just updating any of the browsers u tried along with any plugins.

Is it on any myspace page or a particular one? I haven't seen anything with my PC, but I can try with my Mac.

I'm happy to say that I cancelled myspace last week. You're better off without it.

I'm not a member but I have been to various myspace sites that friends show me. I've had problems before and I'm guessing it's because of all the crap, music, video, graphics, people pile on their sites. Most are so poorly put together I can't even read the writing because of the font color choice on a distracting background.

Faos is right. Myspace is extremely unstable. The amount of poorly streamed music, video and graphics makes it lock up browsers randomly. Is it any myspace page that's doing it to you? Or just certain ones.

People add so much crap on there it's like they are begging browsers to lock up.
