I agree, they should start using Borkowski more. The past couple of times I've seen this guy pitch, he's been good. Heck, even Nieve would be a better option right now out of the bullpen.

he had a 3.12 ERA in 26IP going into today's game.....try to find someone with better #'s in that bullpen.

you won't get a response to this, because it's easier to be reactionary and pile on.

virtually everytime any closer goes out, the spectacular screw up is possible.
when they get the job done, no one notices. when they don't, they pile on.

I think people notice, where did the phrase "Lights out Lidge" come from? I guess no one was noticing then, huh?

and that's the nature of fandom. I think compared to other cities, houston has pretty level headed fans.

you're right...wrong language. i said closer. springer is not a closer. he's middle relief.

I think all our guys throw the same speed, we need a junk ball pitcher in relief to give the other team a speed variation between starter and closer...someone to slow the game down a bit.

Isn't it something that as soon as a person has bad outings, everyone wants them gone. But, is in a couple of months they pull up, they are that person's biggest supporter. Springer will always have 1 plus on his side for me and that's purposely hitting Bonds.

I would have liked to see us develop Chris Sampson in long relief instead of sending him back down.

Chris Sampson is awesome. I hated to see him go. He should have stayed instead of say Miller or Springer or Qualls.

Why are those 2 things mutually exclusive?

And do you need a 3rd long-relief/swingman-type when you have Borkowski & Nieve in the pen?

why not start using nieve or bucholz out of the bull pen??

let them try and carve out a career for themselves instead of throwing them in the fire as a starter?? they can't be worse than springer or that old lefty they have. trever miller? yeah...

i say start using our young guys and let them show us they deserve to start...
