"...that they're trying to get some trades to happen..."

This is the most intriguing part of his interview. Notice the plural form of the word "trade". Either we have made more than one offer or we are trying to make more than one trade.

I think at this point we can safely assume that some part of the Portland rumor is probably true...

Did JVG personally speak with other dudes we worked out?

I knew we were after Roy. All that Morrison and Thomas stuff...fallback plans.

I'm gona havta hold off on all the suspense. I'm heading up to NY tomorrow and will be gone until next week on business. Computer time will be limited. I'm hoping that the Miles trade happens. I'm not worried about the 4th pick, as long as we take someone from the "Top 6", I'll be happy. As for the 2nd round, we need a back up pg. Rondo, Dee Brown, Diaz, it don't matta. And I'd take good looks at Buckman, Rashad Anderson, and David Noel as free agent signings.

And I was the one that broke it first, if Alex Johnson is available at 32, the Rockets will be all over it.

Thanks Clutch, and I think you said it best when you couldn't remember a draft quite like this.

It will be a fun night, and I have a feeling I'm going to "booo" and hopefully be very wrong.

I'd be happy with Roy or Gay. We shall see though, it's getting really interesting.

Alright im pretty excited now about Brandon Roy. I say we do the Portland trade and get him with the #4 pick and take Miles for Howard. Then Sign Mike James, bring over Vassilis Spanoulis, and draft Steve Novak in round 2

    Alston/M. James/Spanoulis
    Roy/Sura/Head
    T-Mac/Novak
    D-Miles/Stromile/Hayes
    Yao/Mutombo

i know thats 13 players, one to many, but one of them is Sura, so it could end up being 12. but anyway, this would be a great lineup. we have some guys who can do somethings besides sit around and watch t-mac and yao play. if the ball is given to them, they can make something happen besides missing a jumper like wesley, bowen, bogans did all last year. we would be deep like the mavs and suns where if we had an injury to tmac or yao, we could still win ball games. its a very talented and unique lineup. and it meets JVG's wish list. we have 3 PG's (Alston, M. James, V-Span) who can all do different things. we have a PF who can space the floor and will be able to do alot of things beside yao (D-Miles), and we have depth. also, if sura can comeback, we have our heart and energy with Sura, Mutombo is gonna go out with a bang since its his last year, Miles is gonna be doing his head tap everytime he scores, swift is gonna be doing his bird sign everytime he dunks, and roy is pretty energetic, t-mac is out to prove the haters wrong, EVERYBODY is writing him off, which will make this comeback sweeter, and yao became a beast. what do yall think of the lineup?

Has Portland actually offered Miles and the 4th for Howard and the 8th yet?

Well including the inactive list, that roster maximum is 15 so it's not a problem. In fact the players association got a 14 player minimum in the most recent collective bargaining agreement. Just fyi.

CD didn't sound very confident that they'd have the money to bring in V-Span. Shame.
