man mcgrady you have really proved your love for that site these last few months. in saying that i wish lewis could be in houston. i met the guy a couple times pretty cool guy.
even though it might seem implied, you should probably write "Rumor" or "DraftExpress" in the title or something.
Money... they'll have to extend Diaw's contract soon and they're already paying max in three players.
I rather have Marion than Diaw. Diaw has had only 1 good season, Marion has had several and is a great defender.
After one season of Diaw and several of Marion, the Suns may see something we don't. If they feel Diaw will develop into a player as good as Marion he would be a lot easier on the payroll. Marion seems to disappear a lot during the playoffs while Diaw played his best ball of the season. While both would be great at PF for the Rockets I, for one, would take Diaw over Marion.
Not a bad trade for the Suns..getting the 10th pick is the real value cause you can get help at the 2 guard. C: Stoudamire F: Diaw F: Lewis G: Nash G: JJ Redick The backcourt isn't that athletic but they make up for that in the frontcourt. Redick would get alot of open looks.
Marion has been said to have a big head. He thinks that he doesn't get enough recognition and thinks he's the MVP of the team. It's similar to what Joe Johnson was going through in a way.
that's what happens when you can't create your own shot for your life. This guy can't play half-court. I'd bet he'd get 17PPG in Seattle, and his % will drop off considerably
I think they'd just rather have diaw. He's shown that he's the only viable back-up to nash at the moment to bring the ball up and set up other players. Marion is awesome and works really well w/o the ball but I think diaw's ability to set up plays is more desireable with amare coming back and Kurt thomas helping the frontline. I just wish we had something to give for either lewis or marion
Apparently the Suns just flew Ronnie Brewer in for a workout and are pretty high on him. If this trade goes down it could explain why...
Actually reading the article, it sounds as if Barbaso is also involved, with Danny Fortson on the other side...evens things out a bit, imo...Barbaso should only get better.
I agree either Carney or Brewer would be great on that team. Brewer may play too much defense for their tastes.
this is a great point, i guess with Nash his ability to create his own is shot or play in the half is completely hidden play Nash and the fast pace offense they play, although the Suns window is now the reality may be long term they have to build a squad that can win now and also win when Nash is on the slide..... Diaw can play the point forward role and then they have a scoring PG type in Barbosa, i for one think Marion is an individual player is over rated a tad, in the right system and as the second or third spoke he is awesome but does he lead you to a title, do you give him the ball on the wing and run the play for him when the game is tight, in the 4th quarter of game 7 of the finals..... the financial reality is if they have Amare, Nash and Marion on max contract they will struggle to keep either Diaw or Barbosa and let alone both....... it is an interesting scenario they face they want to win next season but at the same time not cause a big drop off the following year...... my guess is nothing happens until Stoudamire looks 100% also it would be great to hear from Toronto GM Colangelo about the suns situation and i wonder if this scenario has anything to do with his departure
