I am no pryuen obviously, but I've heard that Yao will go back to China in early July and rejoin the Chinese national team. He will most likely play in the world championship since he's recovering well.

All the sports reporters in China are too busy covering the World Cup, not that much attention is being paid to Yao right now.

With that said, here's a sohu article about Yao's recovery and summer plans. Not much new information though

    http://sports.sohu.com/20060608/n243629749.shtml

According to the article (dated 6/8), Team Yao spokesman Zhang says Yao still needs 1 or 2 weeks for his recovery and will return to China after that. An official at the CBA says Yao is planning to return to China in mid June, though no specific date was mentioned. Zhang also said that Yao's recovery is going very well. He can walk but is still not allowed to jump. Long distance travel and flying are also not allowed right now.

    YUP.....World Cup fever !!

The most recent ones that appeared in sina.com, sohu.com and tom.com were just the repeat of Jonathan Feigen's article that appeared today on Houston Chronicle.

The only Rockets player that was in China in the month of June was Richie Frahm who substituted Yao Ming's place for the Basketball Without Borders camp. That camp was held in Shanghai June 8 ~ 11. Richie Frahm should have left.

So this cannot be a Rockets player. And it is not unusual that fans or players have Rockets jerseys in China, as the Houston Rockets is tremendously popular in China due to Yao Ming.

Hahaha, why are those journalists all ugly chicks? No wonder that Yao was not even looking at them.
