What pre-draft analysis is worth

    Not as much as you'd think, especially in a draft like this one with few clear-cut choices. As evidence, I offer this archive page I stumbled onto -- it's from cnnsi's '98 pre-draft coverage:

    Apart from picking Kandi-Man and Tractor Traylor as two of the "can't miss" players in the draft, they made a huge error evaluating the talent of a certain NBA rookie. Talking about Al Harrington's potential, the writer said:
