and i couldn't be happier lets be honest guys. the foul on dirk today and the foul in game 5 at the end of regulation that sent wade to the foul line. there is no way your supposed to get those calls. but he did. and frankly i think dallas got screwed. but. the best was hubie showing how terry got fouled going up after the game was over all non chalantly. like it was some subplot in the middle of the 2nd quarter with 4 minutes remaining before the half.
LOL! I was laughing so hard on that call by Hubie. It was so after the fact. He just nonchalantly stated in a soft voice "...and you can see that Terry was fouled before the shot on that play." I love it!
well, i'm sure they'd rather have the wide open 3 that they got than be at the line shooting 2 down 3 anyway.
Dirk impeded Wade's progress, that WAS a foul. Also, Dampier had a clear loose ball foul against Shaq by going over his back, and the refs didn't call anything. Then, they call a bogus 'traveling' on Haslem after the offensive rebound...they tried to give Dallas as many chances as they could to even up the series, because game 7 would've been good for business...didn't happen. Miami manned up and beat up on Dallas, pure and simple. The punks had the Heat in the penalty and refused to drive inside even ONCE to get to the line, they punked out, plain and simple. The Heat scared them and intimidated them, Wade destroyed them...you're as good as your best player, and that's why Dallas will never win anything as long as Flopitzki is their 'leader', because he never shows up when it counts, he waits for the aging Stackhouse or the arrogant Terry to pick up the slack for him, he doesn't lead. Losing is not the issue, the issue is that he disappears when the game is on the line.
the rest of the league is still not even. avery johnson needs to be threatened to be banned from the nba for life
Dallas should have used all that "talk" they spouted after game 5, and had a runaway blowout in game 6... it was all right there for them to do so. Miami started the game out horribly, Dallas played like their backs were to the wall, and they stormed out to a 14 point lead... then, Dallas' collective sphincters al closed at once towards the end of the first half, and they NEVER recovered.
We got screwed several times last year in the playoffs (Finley out of bounds etc...) Dallas got what was coming to them.
Man I am really just sick of this talk about how Dallas was screwed or that the reffs favored the heat. People complaining about all the free throws that Wade took in game 5. But if people would just put that in context. Wade shot so many free throws because the Mavericks were employing hack a shaq. What that does is puts the Heat into the bonus quicker, then when you have a random hand checking call at the 9 minute mark of the 4th, wade goes to the line because dumb dumb Dallas thinks they can win the series by hacking shaq. What is really leads to is more free throws by Miami. Its simple math people, you foul more, the more free throws the other team gets. Now the Ball is in Wades hands about 50 to 70 percent of the time, who do you think is going to shoot 50 to 70 percent of the free throws. Its not a trick question just a basic understanding of how the game of basketball works. And I was torn about this series, I really don’t like one team more than the other, I am a rockets fan. But after listening to Mark Cuban and Avery Johnson complain about the free throw discrepancy after the Mavericks created the discrepancy by resorting to Hack a Shaq. Well that just makes me want to root for a heat team I don’t really like. SO no Dallas didnt get screwed they screwed themselves. . . .
Twice in game 6. Once in game 3. -(the real turning point of the series) And I think once in game 5. (And I called it before round one even started... Heat win it all!! )
People also forget to bring up the fact that Wade is ALWAYS looking to attack the basket. 50% of the time he goes in there, he's going to get fouled. The agressor always gets the call. It's always been like that. In the other hand you got 7' Nowitzki taking outside jumpers.
The foul was committed before Terry went into his shooting motion, so the refs would have called it on the floor. Two free throws.
Nope he just didn't cry HARD ENOUGH. His only task is to cry about the officiating after every loss. Up til now he's cried like a little girl, but I think this off-season, he needs to put in the effort, bear down and come out next year crying like an infant. He should also accuse Stern of something a little more serious than simply rigging the league; maybe something like adultry or money laundering. Man, I'm so happy this morning!
Love to see that Dallas get screwed. On the other hand, is it fun for general fans to see rigged games where the outcome was pretty much predetermined when the players even stepped on the court?
You probably need to add that this applies to the NBA games only. And also should add that currently it only applies to the perimeter players only. Yao won't get 30% of the calls when he is constantly mugged down low.
