Hi, I'm new to the league, and I'm wondering about the conditions under which you can trade for draft picks...

    Can you...

Trade a player for a draft pick straight up?

Trade for picks in both the rookie and end of season draft, and how many rounds are in both?

You can trade picks for either, other picks or players straight up or combinations of each. You can trade future picks not just for this year but for next as well. The common draft has 2 rounds the rookie draft has 1.

You can trade draft picks and players as long as you and the other GM agree to the terms. In the common draft, there will be two rounds. In the rookie draft, there will be a single round, but there may also be a second round in the rookie draft later on consisting of the players we might have missed in the initial rookie draft round.

hi, and welcome to the league...im kings in the league

as for your questions, i thought id help you out

yes u can trade players for picks straight up

the common draft..a way to get new gms like yourself better is 2 rounds and takes place after the season

and the rookie draft will be one round and approximately take place around the same time as it does in real life..the 1st one should happen soon

Team record. The worst record gets the best pick. If there is a tie, I am not sure who gets the pick. I thinks goes to the season series a tie breaker. Beyond that, I am not sure.

It is also determined by playoffs. for example last season I had a 37-45 record and was the 8th seed in the east and picked fourth because we added a GM and two teams in the west missed the playoffs.

Okay, here is something I have never understood.

If two teams, lets say the Wolves and Suns, have the same record, and their season series was tied 2-2, how do they determine the team that gets the higher seed?

i believe the next tiebreaker is conference record
in this case being western conference
