Eventhough Dallas has the athleticism and youth, team cohesiveness and team defense can give us the championship. I really thought Dallas would win but nothing beats a team who jells together even with oldies Payton,Mourning,Anderson, Walker and Williams in a line up.

    Wade>Dallas

The Superstar win again. I'm actually kind of sad because I don't know if T-mac has that level of superstardom left in him. And the way the league rules are in effect, all the advantages go to the perimeter penetrator over the big guys down low.

This proves to me that we just need to put guys who can shoot, play some d and have a high basketball iq to put around Yao and T-Mac and just impose out will on teams like the mavs, suns, nets and other who play small and up-tempo.

well last year he was broken and still was impressive when he could play. if he's healthy he's certainly capable of being as good as anyone.

what's more is that yao certainly has that level of superstar in him. what he did after the all-star break is only a taste of what he will become.

can't imagine dirk's name being associated with championship of any kind. shouldn't it be talked with the likes of "flopper", "whining" and "loser"?

Suns, Kings(of years past), Mavs, Sonics(last yr), and all these other "new era" style teams are simply regular season gimmicks. Heat, Spurs, Pistons, these "old school" built teams will continue to dominate when it counts no matter what the media will try and sell to us on sunday afternoons. Next year a new season will begin and most people will forget the lessons of finals past. Its annoying but luckily for some we can bask in "I told you so" glory.

I picked the Heat and am glad they won the series. But let's get real: The Mavs should have won this series. They were better but their historic choke job in game 3 started the snowball that turned into an avalanche. Miami won because Wade carried them on his back. We still need a youth infusion on our team.

Miami winning is evidence we need more youth? Miami is full of old guys. The reason Dallas lost was because of inexperience. Yes, Wade carried the team but TMac is as good as Wade assuming his back holds up. Virtually every championship team has the one star that carried the team. Plus Yao is OBVIOUSLY better than Shaq now. So we have two superstars ala 2000-2002 Lakers. We just need to shore up our role players with reliable talent.

No need. Rox have Deke, Wesley, and Rafer, etc. Add some old Knicks and Rox are ready for Championship.

i agree. miami winning should make rocket fans feel great in terms of model.

youth is overrated. when the bulls and rockets were winning titles in the 90's, they both ranked among the oldest teams in the league.

You laugh but "young" teams don't win championships. You gotta pay your dues in this league. So as you wish for a youth movement, be careful what you wish for.

We want a couple young guys that are duable and can matchup against Dallas/Suns, but we don't want to go overboard.

Ugh. My worst nightmares are coming true. Now everybody is going to want to turn us into the Heat.

Make no mistake about it, Miami won because of youth, speed, quickness, and athleticism.

Youth, quickness, speed, and athleticism = Wade.

When you have an athletic freak that can break down the defense, penetrate at will, and consistently draw fouls, it puts your team at such a huge advantage. That’s exactly the type of players the Rockets should be aiming to add this summer. Lightning quick guards that can penetrate and draw fouls the way Wade does.

Tracy Mcgrady is a completely different player from Dwayne Wade. He’s more similar to Dirk Nowitzki. A jump shooter that can occasionally get to the basket.

Q: When is the last time that a championship series did not come down to half court execution?

    A: J.J. Redick

Mcgrady is different that Dirk buddy. He doest get tight and scared when the fourth quarter comes around. He doesnt defer to his PG, who was shooting terrible. He wouldnt have scored 2 points (while playing ofcourse) in a critical elimination game.
