Has there been a news conference or anything about TMac's back ?

This may be a dumb question, but I don't have the time of inclination to search for the answer. I am sure one or more of you know the answer right off the top of your head. Has there been any official announcement from management or any medical personnel that TMac has a really bad back that will never be any good anymore? It seems that in every thread someone says that TMac will never be the same and won't be able to contribute like he used to, but I don't recall anthing official about it.

I would like to see TMac moved, but for a different reason. He takes up to much Cap space for his contribution (leadership, making other people better, etc.) to the team.

Now that is my opinion, but has there been any official medical opinion issued?

Nothing official, to my knowledge. They've said that his recent injury didn't have anything to do with his chronic back problems. I find that kind of hard to believe.

what we have here are a BUNCH of self-educated doctors in this forum.

There has been ZERO indication from either McGrady , his doctor, or ROckets management about this.

So everytime you read someone say that, you can rest assured they are guessing out their ass just like everyone else here.

Im gonna laugh my ass off at them all if he makes it thru next season without a problem.

On sports radio T-mac said that he was fine, and he could have even came back at the end of the season if the rockets were going to make a playoff push, but then yao got hurt and we had no chance, so he just stayed out.

T-mac said that he was 100% and would begin his basketball training starting June 1st. T-mac also said he's doing the workouts for his back that he did in Orlando and after that he was pain free for 2 years.

Again, is it a fact that he has Chronic back problems. I am asking because I don't know. I have not seen that from any medical source that I recall.

I would guess that we really screwed up if he had 'Chronic' back problems in Orlando and we gave away almost our entire team to get him, huh.

We traded Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato, whoopee. A slightly above average shooting guard, a backup center/Pf and a small combo guard who has been in career freefall since the moment he hit Orlando. 100 times out of a 100 that was and is the smartest move we could have made.

Do you play basketball? Do you know anyone that has a back problem and plays basketball? If the answer to those questions are yes, then you know why a lot of people are concern about his back.

How can you say that? We made the playoffs with that team and we made the playoffs with TMac, et al. So, at best we are even in basketball players and behind in cap space. All TMac has is potential and unless he comes back, bad back and all, and is what he was supposed to be when we got him then we were kinda dumb to not check him out when we got him. That leads me to believe he does not have a serious, chronic back problem that he brought from Orlando.

He does have a history of back injuries which is quite different, IMO, than a chronic back problem. If these are just individual back injuries the odds of getting your 13th back injury is the same as getting your first one, statistically. (Statiticians: Correct me if I am wrong)

It appears that if he has a chronic back problem from years ago our management team screwed up very big time, but if not then he will be back ready to play next year. Hopefully, with a better supporting cast.

That link said he just has a bulging disk that results in back spasms.

In this link, T-mac said those back spasms are triggered by awkward landings.

dude you're always complaining about something that isn't there. when I read this forum I think most people think his back is fine. no one's gonna start a thread about that, but because there are a few threads about his back not being fin you're all upset.
