I'm working on the Midwest division's page.

For each team page I plan on having a GM section where each GM just types up a couple notes about what he expects for the season and what he thinks about the offseason.

This is what I put for my page...

All I ask is that each of you makes up a paragraph similar to this one and post it in this thread so I can add to your individual pages.

    ANOTHER NOTE

I'll have a "contact the GM" link which links to your email address, if you want me to put your email there, just post the addy or email it to me at my email address in case you don't want to post it on here.

It would be highly appreciated if you guys could do this for me.

    Thanks

I've already completed vj's, dc's and cat's team pages, I just need your quote and I can send those pages to Castor.

I was very dissapointed with the Grizzlies performance last season. Starting off with a good young nucleus of Mike Bibby, 2nd Overall Pick Stromile Swift, and Shareef Abdur-Rahim, I felt the team was heading in the right direction. With early pickups Marcus Camby, Elton Brand, and Larry Hughes, the Grizzlies playoff prospects looked good. However, our team fizzled, which prompted a mideason trade for Kevin Garnett. With the addition of in my opinion the best player in the league, i felt as though our playoff hopes had been rekindled. However, this was not the case. After not making the playoffs, I felt as though I had to make a major move for the Grizzlies to contend for the Championship. I traded Mike Bibby, Stromile Swift, and a number of 1st Round Draft Picks for a 3rd Superstar who I felt could push this team over the top. Allen Iverson. The Answer. With a stacked lineup with three of the league's youngest, best players, I hope to contend for the title. I had an outstanding draft picking up Danny Forston and Morris Peterson. And in 2 years, I will have my draft picks back to give me depth. The Grizzlies future is indeed bright.

The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

As the GM of the Wolves, I expected big things from the start. Unfortunately, it didn't start very well. For the first half of the season, the team stayed at around the 6-8 seed in the west. At about midseason, we traded out franchise player in a risky deal for both sides. We traded Kevin Garnett, Marc Jackson, and Felipe Lopez for Elton Brand, Michael Dickerson, and Marcus Camby. This is when it got interesting. The team finished 19-2 and took the Blazers, the team with the best record in the league, to seven games. With new addition Tim Thomas, the present and future look bright.

I had a very big decision to make this offseason, keep Derek Anderson and build for the future or keep miller and go for the championship now. I chose to go for it now. This will probably be David Robinson and Reggie Miller's last season with the spurs and maybe their last shots for championships. This offseason we also added Jim Jackson, Vin Baker, Travis Best, and JR Rider, all will be great additions to our team, especially Jim Jackson. This year i hope we can finish better than the 6th seed as we did last year, and with the additions made i think we might.

I had some interesting moves to make this offseason with the Rockets. While I was a young improving team who made the playoffs last year, I knew I had to do something different to have a chance to contend in the West. So I decided to play small, drafting John Stockton to play the point, and moving Francis to SG, Vince Carter to SF, and Jamison to PF. This combined with a center tandem of Elden Campbell and Michael Olowokandi along with 6th men Anthony Mason and Moochie Norris leaves my team as one of the better talent teams in the league, and one I think can contend if things go right. I feel very strong about my team's chances this season, and even if things go wrong, I know I have a great nucleus for the next 5-10 seasons at least in Francis, Carter, and Jamison, and some minor tinkering should be able to take them to the next level.

    PRAGRAPH:

there is only one place to go this year for the Mavs. DOWN. I built my team for immediate sucess. I built a team to win it all. I predicted winning the championships in the preseason, and succeeded. halfway through the season however, the rules changed. and they kept changing. this was no longr a one shot deal this was now a franchise. I was unable to make any moves untill after the regular season and payoff finals. Any moves that would have helped my future would surely have hurt my chances to win the coveted "VOR CUP". once the finals ended i tried to move some of my superior talent before they were taken away for the draft. I was able to improve at the PF position as well as the SF position by obtaining Malone and Marshall for Miles Bradley, Mcdyce and a pick which surely will put the Jazz in championship position for years to come. I was moving, so I had no internet availability during the draft. I ended up with 2 players that couldnt even replace one of my lost stars(kukoc/Fortson) .
My only goal is to win this season. it is my opinion that I will not be able to dismantle and rebuild quickly enough to contend for another championship. for this team its now, or never again.

please edit as you feel fit
