I watched the video of the Rocket's evaluation and draft needs, and there wasn't anything new to hear about. Trading TMac is the right decision, according to the video feed, but they are right on about Brewer @ #8 to the Rockets. I half heartedly agree with NBATV, but only about Brewer, not about choosing Williams as a point with that pick.
On another note, have ya'll seen Saer Sene play?? The guy is like a young Deke, only more athletic and much longer. The guy changes the opposing teams offense just due to his presence in the paint. It is truely unbelievable to imagine him and Yao in the game together ala Cato. I would love to trade down and pick Carney, Brewer, Redick, or Foye at 12 and Sene at 15. It simply wouldn't matter if our guards played defense because our frontcourt would be the the most dominant in NBA history!! had to stick that Bill Waltonism in there.
I saw the Sene video as well and I was actually very impressed. I believe he had 9, maybe 10 blocks against the USA team he played. That's amazing for someone who has only been playing the game a couple of years. I was also a bit surprised by his ferocity on his dunks. A lot of big men with that kind of length in their arms seem content on going soft and simply placing the ball into the rim. He attacks the rim like a true power forward. Now it goes without saying that he is still very very raw, but if I were a team in the late lottery area of this draft and I needed some frontline help, I'd take a chance on this guy for sure. He can, at the very least, by what Diop has been for Dallas in these playoffs.
That Saer Sene video impressed me as well. He actually looks like a basketball player, which is something you can't always say about these raw, pipecleaner africans. He moves extremely well on the defensive end. If we didn't have so many holes on our team, I'd pick him up. He'll at least be a very good backup C for many years.
They stream REALLY REALLY slowly.... I wish I could download them and THEN play them....but their links don't allow it. DD
