I am in the market for an unlocked cell phone, Features I am looking for are video capture and bluetooth. My budget is 300.00 dollars, the phones I am currently looking at are the RAZR V3i or X and the Pebble.

I want to hear about any other phones with comparable features and in that price range also if anyone has these phones give me your opinion of them. The last phone I had was the V80, I liked it but it was to easy to scratch and I cracked the screen by bumping into a table, so durability is a concern.

    Thanks in advance.

I've got the RAZR. Worst phone I've ever used.

Also I feel like a tool when I pull it out because EVERYONE has that same phone.

    Sony Ericsson w810i

price might be $20-30 more than what your budget is but it's well worth it. Market price for it is going down right now too.

Another feature I am interested in is the ability to watch television on the phone
I know this is somewhat new technology so what system would I be looking for.

i would think that if you're rough on phones flipphones shouldn't be an option? i'm the same way and i hate flip phones for that very same reason.

but yea that site gives you a lot of reviews to read. www.gsmarena.com is another good site.

i have the RAZR 1st generation. I've had it for over a year and it's been a solid phone. I've been relatively rough on it and nothing bad from the physical damage. The thing I dislike about it is the slow OS or whatever you wanna call it. Every button press takes way too long to register, so it's something you hafta get used to between menus. I've gotten used to it, but I'm still not a fan of that.

Cingular's branding of the phone doesn't let you search for names with anything more than the 1st letter, while Verizon's does. Not sure about T Mobile. (That very well may have to do with the version of the phone more than the branding of it, I'm not sure).

But I do agree that everyone seems to have the phone nowadays... and for that reason, I don't like that I have it anymore ;) Nah, but really, I just wanted lightweight and thin in my pocket along with certain features (outer screen, camera of any quality, flip phone). This fit the bill and still does..

I have to admit the second Gen RAZR is what I have my eye on but for some reason i have not pulled the trigger, I'm afraid that as soon as I purchase something else will catch my eye.

I am thinking about purchasing a first Gen and then just wait until later to get something else I can get a first Gen for under 200.00 right now.

Well if you're talking about streaming TV then your choices have been narrowed down PDA phones. Verizon has the fastest broadband that would allow you to watch streaming TV but their plans are pretty expensive.

Motorola Q just came out but you wanted a clamshell or flip. I don't know of any flips that would allow you to watch TV on it.

If you switch carriers you can probably get the phone really cheap.. i.e. buy.com for free after rebate (although the rebate can't be submitted for 6 months...which means you don't get it for about a year)

Yes I am refering to streaming TV and I have seen some flip phones that carry it.The question i have is what is the specific name of the technology you phone needs to have the streaming TV.

Motorola Q is one that I just read about, it sounds interesting and the part about it being a flip is optional I think features would overrule it being a flip at the end of the day.

Only way your to get streaming tv is with verizon, and since your looking for a unlocked gsm phone that wont be an option unless you switch networks as verzion does not use gsm, only t-mobile and cingular do in the US. If your using t-mobile your good with any unlocked gsm, but if you have cingular you will need to look for quad-band phone.
With a budget of $300 my opinion would be the K750i 2MP camera, mp3 player, BT etc.. heres a review http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-k750-en.shtml $259+ $35 shipped at http://www.myworldphone.com/k750.html. Or you can try ebay and look for one cheaper. V3i isnt bad but it wont get you the best video quality. Just check out www.plemix.com or www.myworldphone.com for prices and www.gsmarena.com or www.mobile-review.com for revews.

If your budget is only $300 i wouldnt worry about anything else catching your eye as new phones usualy come out with a price tag of $400+ and usualy take half a year to finally be able to buy.
