I dont blame the NBA for the suspension, I kinda agree with it.

It wasnt just a 'hard foul' at all.... I would accept the 'hard foul' call if stackhouse had atleast made a LITTLE attempt to go for the ball - heck, even jump up with your arms in the air and collide with him

But stackhouse just lined shaq up and dropped the shoulder into him at full speed - both arms by his side, not even remotely going for the ball.

It was a stupid play by stackhouse - sure i can understand trying to foul shaq to stop the break away dunk, but make it look half legit atleast.

It is sort of the same thing as what posey got suspended a game for in round 1 - the shoulder into heinrick.... but it was worse IMO

ANd for everyone crying about how its turned into the WNBA or whatever, just think about it...
the nba isnt as rough and tough as it was a decade or 2 ago, and obviously D. Stern doesnt want that - he has to deter it somehow.

If stackhouse didnt get suspended, then it would basically be an invitation for anyone and everyone to take a player out and face no consequence except for a flagrant foul.

I applaud the NBA, and totally agree with their reaction.

I can only imagine all of your responses if stackhouse did that to Ming or Mcgrady - You all would be agreeing with the suspension and wanting more games proabably.

You have to take it in perspective

At the same time, if Mcgrady or Yao committed a hard foul like Stackhouse did and was suspended in an NBA Finals game, I’m sure there would be quite a few people here ticked off at Stu Jackson and calling it an injustice.

But they would not do that. Stackhouse has a history of doing things like this. Well, at least a few incidents.

I think Shaq intentionally put his foot under Nowitzki when he shot that 3 in last game..

Coming up next on Mark Cuban's blog... the bashing of the 2-3-2 format for the NBA finals, as it is archaic, and meaningless now that its no longer Boston vs. LA for the NBA finals. He'll say that there's no problem with teams from Seattle travelling all the way to New Orleans back and forth if they were to meet up in the playoffs in a 2-2-1-1-1 series... but apparently Dallas to Miami is just too far.

The thing that ticks me off about Cuban is that he acts as if the NBA didn't exist before he started whining to the league. He acts as if there hadn't been questions/issues with officiating, rule changes and what not, and HE is the sole reason for their improvement.

    Go Heat.

lol, if it was Yao there would be no foul called and the announcers would be screaming that Yao got rejected by Stackhouse.
