that ish was rigged! you see how the calls swayed in miami's favor the last 4 minutes. the nba wants as many games as possible, so they can make as much $ as possible
D.Wade, Jordanesque. Wow, he willed the win. Not many players can do that. I really thought Dallas was going to close them out. Well at least we get to watch an extra game.
Yep. The NBA paid Dirk to miss a clutch FT and Shaq to make clutch FTs. btw, it's human nature to award the aggressor.
whine on: It was predictable to watch the refs mess up some pretty obvious calls going both ways. My personal favorite was Wade being called for an offensive foul on Devon Harris when Harris was moving backward toward the basket and at no time had both feet planted - he was always in motion. It sure looked like a blocking foul to me especially on the replay. The abc commentators mentioned how it was a good call. They did catch a couple calls against Miami that they mentioned were questionable. The Cuban effect - some kind of tropical weather anomaly. But then shock of all shocks - Nowitzki had 5 fouls in the box score! Wow! I don't remember the last time Dirk had that many! Probably forgot to mail the check. whine off I was pretty amazed to see Miami climb back into the game and win. I personally would like to see Cuban lose and be disappointed - but it is obvious Dallas has a deeper rotation. Dallas in 5 or 6 - I will be surprised if this goes 7 unless of course Stern wants the revenue or abc twists his arm for more advertising revenue....
I hate Dallas and all, but I gotta admit the last 8-9 minutes of that game were blatantly officiated grossly in favor of the Heat.
There's nothing better than watching Mark Cuban's face as his team blows a 13 point lead in the last six minutes and Dirk missing a free throw with three seconds that would have tied it.
If the Heat had J.J. Redick taking wide open 3 balls off those kick outs from Wade and Shaq, is there any question that they are up 2 to 1 right now???
So what next? Does this breath new life into the Heat like the Lakers circa 03-04, when they drop the first two to the Spurs but end up taking 4 straight (highlighted by Fisher's 0.4 second basket). Or is it more like two series later when they steal game 2 from a superior Pistons team but end up getting trounced anyway. We shall see.
Dallas still clearly owns this series. They are superior. If they bring their "A" game this ends in 5. Are they emotionally tough enough to do that is the big question.
That's what I doubt... I could see them losing 4 straight if they lose tomorrow night, that's why I think it's a must win for them and Miami.
i'm all for fair officiating, and i agree about the horrible call and non-calls (Shaq's obvious push on Dampier) but i'm glad they screwed Dallas...especially b/c of what happened to us last year. i guess i'm just bitter. Eh, Duck Fallas.
watched all the games and then thinking of Rocket. It is maybe impossible for rocket to reach final in a few years even with healthy Yao and T-Mac. Heat's role players are way more better than rocket, but I still havn't seen any possibility of winning the series over heat.
Holey Moley! Miami won that game? I fell asleep with 6 minutes left, sure that they were going to lose. Damn, I hate when that happens.
