Usually, I like to buy a random CD to try out new music, but my last purchase was pretty bad. I figure it would be more cost effective to listen to new stuff online and then buy it...any suggestions on some websites to listen to fresh music?

    BTW, this CD sucks!

She Wants Revenge is a darker Interpol wannabe. My favorite band is Interpol, but SWRevenge didn't appeal that much. Editors are much better if you are looking for an Interpol wannabe.

Well, I probably wouldn't like Interpol, but I might give them a listen...I was thinking She Wants Revenge is a watered down version of Godsmack with crappy dance beats...

try listening to some streaming "radio" stations on the net. check out local college stations (like WREK in atlanta or UCDavis's station.) my favorite currently is littleradio. here's the page showing the recent playlist:

    enjoy.

Napster is free now (you can listen to a song up to 5 times before paying for it), and Rhapsody lets you check out 30 tracks a month for free. Pandora and Last.fm are cool too, but you don't get to pick your specific songs.
