lol, the Hornets aren't idiots. If we could possibly pull a Jho+#8 for #12 and #15, I'd jump for it. It'll also be good if we could go #8+#32+Swift for #12+#15+J.R. Smith. Even better if we could land Shelden with one of those picks and maybe, uh, the red dick guy?

neither of us knows who New Orleans values in this draft. It's not out of the question that a team falls in love with a player when another team does not value them the same. What if New Orlean does not want two garanteed contracts out of this draft?

if we do this trade somehow, we cannot get both reddick and sheldem because orlando (11th pick) wants both of them. my picks would be reddick/sheldem and rondo

I agree there always a remote chance that we are not interested in a top player or value as much as New Orleans.

I think the general concensus is in agreement with this deal.

But if I had a say, I would trade #8 for J.R. Smith & Kirk Snyder straight up.

The thought of adding another choice in a weak draft just doesn't excite me. I vote to take a chance on these 2 young, improving swingmen. They would instantly bring youth, versatility, size, & athleticism to the wings, as well as some scoring potential in the event TMac is shelved again. And they're known quantites that the Rockets could get on the cheap, not the projects that dominate this draft.

Hell, I'd throw in #32 for good measure if they asked.

Remember though, NO was willing to take Brent Barry for him straight up, so we should try to lowball them first, and hopefully we can hang on to the number 8, or at least grab their number 12.

There are too many options out there for Houston to just stay pat, hopefully there is a plan in place.
