I can't find anything related to tropical weather on Wunderground or NOAA. Is there something out there only Billingsly knows about?
Possible tropical drepression (already ) Tropical Weather Outlook Statement as of 11:30 am EDT on June 09, 2006 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico... Widespread cloudiness and showers over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and adjacent land areas are associated with an area of low pressure centered a couple hundred miles east of the Yucatan Peninsula. This system is showing signs of organization this morning. Despite the close proximity to land...and upper-level winds that are only somewhat conducive for additional development...a tropical depression could still form during the next or two as the system moves slowly northward. An Air Force reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate this system tomorrow afternoon...if necessary. Even if a tropical depression does not form...heavy rainfall is possible during the next couple of days over portions of Honduras...Belize...the Yucatan Peninsula...the Cayman Islands...and western Cuba. Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through Saturday. Forecaster Mainelli/Knabb http://weather.chron.com/tropical/ABNT20.html
I miss Stevens and Pruitt. They completely own3d him with that "rumor" on air many moons ago. Good times. BTW- Found this on weather.com
If the tropics are depressed, then I suggest we prescribe Zoloft or Prozac. A reminder for you folks still living on the Gulf Coast. It is hurricane season. Tropical Storm Allison struck in June. The big one won't be arriving until August or September when the Carribean and Gulf are really warm.
As a newly lisenced catastrophic insurace adjuster (wind damage) the more storms the better. So, not to sound TOO morbid but: GO MOTHER NATURE!!
Eh, it can hit anywhere really. BTW, Tropical Depression 1 is located 50 miles west of Cuba and headed towards the Gulf. Still scattered, but should pick up some steam over the next day or two.
I just took my test in Dallas yesterday. I passed it with an 85 so I'm now a licensed insurance claim adjuster. All I have left is to take a course on Exactimate (sp?) and then I would be ready for work(assuming if storms have already hit).
typical east coast bull****. in this case, north east bull****. why? they saw some bad ass hurricanes hit our way(gulf coast states), and those whores want some free burgers. seriously, actually, the above state was semi serious, but seriously, i think hurricanes have hit new york, but not recently, and they think it's due for them. We haven't had a major hurricane hit the houston gulf area since 1983. somebody do the research for me. thanks
