LINK? I must say I have never seen an article about the Israelis murdering tens of thousands of their own people every year. The international community has consistantly sided against Israel, so I am not surprised that Israel would ignore them. If I were Israel I certainly wouldn't let the UN draw my border. The US doesn't recognize the authority of the World Court and I doubt that Israel does either. They have dealt with the international community for a long time wrt the Palestinian situation and they have nothing to show for it. It is time for them to take matters into their own hands and that is what they are doing. The Palestinians will have their own state, Israel will secure their borders, and the situation as it stands now will be over. Moving forward relations will be between two states, as opposed to an occupation force and the people under their control. Israel is never going to be popular with the world at large, and especially with their Arab neighbors, so they can just turn to looking out for themselves. As for the thread topic, of course I condemn this act. If it was an accident, nothing should happen to Israel. If it was not, then the person responsible should be held to account. It really wouldn't make much sense for the government to intentionally kill 10 innocent people though. What would they possibly have to gain from it? The borders that Israel establishes are no more or less legitimate than any other border around the world. In fact, they are more generous in establishing the boundries of their country than most. The US nearly wiped out the indiginous people in establishing their borders.
Well if the international community and world opinion has consistently sided against Israel, maybe Israel is to blame...you're not saying that the entire world is wrong and Israel is right are you? Your argument is the same one used by defenders of the apartheid regime in South Africa...Would you defend the apartheid regime in South Africa? I'm glad you condemn the act, but if the Palestinians had accidentally killed 10 Israelis I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune...The Israeli regime is extremely brutal and I wouldn't put doing this intentionally past them as a way of provoking the Palestinians in general and Hamas in particular, because the truce was actually working.

First, you'd have to show me some evidence that they're pursuing nukes. Second, no resolutions have been passed demanding Iran do this or that so the international community hasn't spoken...On the other hand, there have been countless resolutions condemning Israel and demanding that Israel do this and that and they haven't complied...So your comparison doesn't work.

I am sure switching the argument away from the actual discussion works with the people you hang out with, however, not here. You are saying resolutions, that is from the UN, which is part of the world community, but it is difficult to get a quorum there, as you know.
