I'm sorry. Tell me again who's using terror as a political tool?

    ------------

GOP Chair Says Elimination of Al Zarqawi Is Stark Reminder Why Menendez is Wrong Choice For Senate

Trenton, NJ - Republican State Chairman Tom Wilson issued the following statement:

"We owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women of our military for having eliminated one of the top masterminds of the Al Queda terrorist organization that was responsible for 9/11 and countless other murderous acts around globe. Their triumph marks a significant moment in the war against terror.

However, this moment also provides a clear and compelling reminder of why Bob Menendez should not be sitting in the United States Senate. If Bob Menendez had his way, Zarqawi would still be leading a campaign of car bombings, assassinations, suicide attacks, kidnapping and beheadings in order to make Iraq a safe haven from which al Qaeda could continue its war against freedom and the American way of life. If Bob Menendez had his way, Mr. Zarqawi would be alive and plotting the next attack on America, Great Britain, Canada or who knows where."

The language of your post is absurd.

"Using" is the word I dislike the most.

I figured the liberals would be defensive today about our troops' successes. Sad.

    Your point?

Oh, yeah. Bad guy dies in war he waged against US that US officially joined into, and liberals cry me a river.

I'm glad Z is gone. I'm glad the GOP is in control of it.

An interesting note: I just checked the futures contracts for GOP control after the midterm elections. The GOP Senate control is now trading at 80%, and the House is back up over 50% probability that the GOP will retain control. Both contracts jumped north today after the Zarqawi news. I guess the American public agrees that the Republicans are doing good things!

I don't understand why some people can't seem to grasp that it is simultaneously possible that people are upset about one party using terror as a political tool while also celebrate the fact Al-Z is dead.

Is multi-tasking that difficult for some of you? ;)

Wow. You just continue to set the stupidity bar lower and lower with every post. Congratulations! You'd think after the USC game, you'd quit relying on futures contracts to determine your thoughts.

No, I would prefer that you try not to use such biased and inflammatory wording to describe a neutral action.

LOL, nope. Futures contracts have proven more accurate than polls with respect to politics. With respect to sports, they can't account for refs missing QB's knees being on the ground which accounted for enough points to put one team on top of the other.

by the way - You heading to the super regional in Austin this weekend? BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It's fair game. Whether on purpose or not, the Democrats have hinged their campaign on the successes of the occupation.

They aren't manipulating anything. It's called politics.

Nomar, since you clearly believe yourself to be well versed in politics, I find it astonishingly naive to describe a political strategy of this kind to be neutral. That is the opposite of what is an extreme and aggressive political strategy. Unsurprising strategy that has seen it's day. I hope this is typical of the GOP gameplan for November. The American public has become wise to this morally bankrupt ploy. I welcome it, because I've been around politics for a very long time, and it will help, not hurt, Democratic chances in the mid-term elections, this time around. Is that cynical of me? Yes, it is. Political acts such as this, and posts such as yours, tend to bring the cynic out in me.

Did we have a poll? I would have voted for it as well. Damned glad the b*stard is gone, and kudos to American intelligence, and the American military for what must have been a very difficult job of finding him.
