with a bench press barbell, that's like, three 45's plus a 10 on each side
holy crap! nice work by yao, especally considering what a toothpick he was only a couple-three years ago.

awesome drill. awesome dedication by yao & t-tib.

uhhh, lmao! anyone else read this and think, they must've got ahold of that photoshopped picture of a supersized t-mac (the one where he's rockin a light blue long sleeved shirt) and ran with it? :D

thanks for the translation pryuen. there's no way we can pay you back. but the plan is to show you that we understand. you are appreciated

Thanks pyruen. I love your translations... it's the only thing worth reading since realgm is filled with bias idiots.

Keep us updated ASAP on our gentle giant :).

The last time I heard Yang Ming is still nursing this nasty but lagging wrist injury that he would surely miss the World Championship, even though he is still now training with the national team. He said it himself that he was frustrated that all these untimely injuries had costed him the chance for representing his country in Olympics 2 years ago and now the World Championship....but he will keep fighting for his place in the national team for Asian Games in December this year.

Don't you guys think that Yao Ming just wanted to be politically correct that he had to say he did not know where his QX56 is manufactured so as not to trigger some of those crazy, narrow-minded and nationalistic criticism and accusations back in China that he opts to use a Japanese car ?

I know of people in China who are displeased with the fact that Yao plays in the Toyota Center. Heck, I despise the Japanese too and even I think that's a bit over the top. Just b/c it's named the Toyota Center doesn't mean the place is owned by Toyota.

Well the Chinese press/media made a splash and heaped praises on Yao Ming about his patriotism when he flatly turned down repeated offers from Toyota to become their global spokesperson 2 or 3 years back.

But as I've said sometimes these so-called nationalism or patriotism is sort of too tunnel viewed and extreme, even though personally I dislike the way the Japanese militarists/historians continue to deny and twist history about their wartime atrocities in China.

I think recently Japan finally gave an official apology to China for it's war crimes.

They probaly know China is turning into a MONSTER Economy and fear the chinese government/military.

Aside from that is there any new stuff on YM? How much longer will he have to wear a cast on his injury considering he's a fast healer.

What do you mean by the cast ?? If you mean the gypsum plaster, it was removed almost a month ago. He can now walk without help of crutches. He can drive, but he could not run or jump yet. He still need to wrap around his left foot with some protective strap and wear a protective boot or sandal.

As I reported earlier, he plans to return to China right after the NBA Final (i.e. after June 22, if the Mavericks vs Heats series will extend to 7 games), and Anthony Falsone will be waiting for him in Beijing to assist him in his recovery training.

Yes, just rented Year of the Yao right now... I wan't to see what it's all about since I wan'st a rocket's fan until a year ago.

After attending a game and watching Yao Ming play... I was sold. Used to be a Jazz fan when i was in the area but now I live in houston and how convenient is it for me that Yao Ming is a rocket. His character is so appealing how can anyone not love YM.

You were a Jazz fan? Have you been thru the decontamination chamber before posting here? Have you taken the proper loyalty tests? ;)

    Thanks for the updates...

however this is not a D&D thread... let's keep everything Rockets-related (or Yao Ming-related as displayed here) and move all the political jibjabbing elsewhere
