Now I know past performances are no indication of future performances (just look at my stock funds...ugh!), but I went ahead and added up last years player averages for each team. Theoretically, if all of one's teams active rosters played, this would be their score. Certain things to remember are: 1) fadeaway and wink are starting one cather, and 2) some players are way below their real value due to injuries last year (fadeawy has Smoltz with a 0 average, and I have Wagner with a 1.9). But it's a starting point for us.

    Ren..........142.3
    Rob Snyder...138.8
    Behad........134.2
    PhiSlamma....131.8
    DVauthrin....130.5
    Wink.........127.0
    BobFinn......123.8
    chrisjent....121.7
    SummerSongG..108.9
    fadeaway.....108.3

Again, this really means nothing before the season starts, just something to look at.

Yeah, I took a lot of guys that are supposed to get better this year. Wood, Smoltz, Urbina, Rocker, etc.. etc.. virtually all my pitching staff except Randy Johnson, really.

But that was my plan all along for this draft. Whether or not it works remains to be seen..

Interesting stuff, but like you said, it doesn't mean much. There are a handful of players who are consistent year in and year out, then there are players coming back from injuries. There are players changing teams and leagues. Throw those numbers out the window, everyone is in first place (for now) [IMG]
