Yeah, but its not pedophilia when the person is over 18. This law was put in the books primarily for male teachers hooking up with 18 year old female students. On a side note, any of you guys have any college summer interns at you job? Man, we got some hot interns this year! No laws against hooking up with the interns....
This shouldnt be an issue (criminal aspect), the guy is of age, and she shouldnt go to jail for this. If we reverse the sex rolls same thing (unless rape was involved, which it isnt). She is attractive, so don't tell me it wasn't consensual. And as for the guy, what a puss. Probably destroyed the woman to get a laugh, maybe had a disagreement with her or some other evil intention.

The guy probably just bragged about it to a few people and word spread to someone with a self-righteous streak who notified the authorities. Or someone who didn't like the guy, or someone who was jealous. I seriously doubt the guy had anything directly to do with her getting outed. That'd be counter-productive for him.
Dare I say...these stories are actually getting pretty old now. Unless there's some kind of orgy or pooper thing happening, It's just another student banging his teacher story...

Aside from the fact that some people are just dumb and irresponsible, I just think if you're 18 you can make that kind of decision for yourself. Man, there were NO hot female teachers at my high school...

Man, she is hot...I still don't think its about her not being able to find a date, but just being bad and forbidden...She lives near me, so I'll date her... I'm not sure she would be able to get another job so easily, especially with her face plastered everywhere...
I don't see what's the big deal is, or if there's anything wrong with what she did. She was attracted to an 18 yrs old...no different from a 25 yrs old guy who was attracted to 18 yrs old woman.
It's not the age thing, it's the fact that teachers can't date/have sex with students. Can you imagine what it would be like if they could? Mr. Smith: Hey Suzie, your friend and I have a special relationship and she's got an A in my class, don't you want an A? Suzie: Ummmm... That's why the punishment is so strict. Once again, this has nothing to do with age.
