Week 6 is up and league-leader Reindeers made a change to his team, and did a 2 for 1 trade to bring current #1 LB - James Burgess (7.8 avg) giving up LB Kurt Gouveia (6.5 avg) and WR Daryl Hobbs (2.8 avg). This trade will probably make both teams stronger, and we might see this already this week when the two teams in question goes up against eachother. Both teams scored 31 points last week, and for Reindeers it was their lowest output of the season as they battled injuries and poor play and still got the narrowest of wins against the last team in the league. Moe's Stars is also battling injuries, and will likely not get any production from his star QB as he is probably out with injury. But if Heath's starting QB plays as bad as last week Moe still will be better of, and that is what he has to hope for to get the surprise win. Here are the full schedule with favorites in italics: Smashers (#2: 4-1) - Maniacs (#8: 0-5) Codfish (#7: 1-4) - Spoilers (#3: 4-1) Cats (#4: 3-2) - Necks (#5: 2-3) Stars (#6: 1-4) - Reindeers (#1: 5-0) Comments: Looks to be a week for the top teams in the league, but no-one can feel to safe as the lower teams has started to put up better numbers lately. In fact no team scored less points last week than 31 - and thats what the league leading Reindeers also cooked up and still managed to get the win on a tiebreaker. Codfish racked up 48 points last week compared to Spoilers 33, but Spoilers still have to be considered favorites as they look to get back their QB this week. What the hell have you been smoking? Anyways I really hate the XFL's change-your- Quarterback-right-away philosiphy , If a QB has one bad game you dont bench him , This League really has some issues . Plus Im much more interested in my fantasy basketball league right now , which im one point out of first place . ------------------ Oh yes I'm helping with the California Power Crisis , I've turned off more women than Charlie Sheen
Damn I feared offering you this trade before our game Moe as I knew you would get better as a result of it. Now it's coming back to haunt me. Hobbs for 13fp.... oh no ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
And my bench is going bananas.... My 2nd string QB Jim Druckenmiller for 27. Ouch... Kevin Swayne for 12. If I lose this I have only my seelf to blame, in every sence. ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
Im up 22-7 right now but we'll see how long it will last ------------------ Oh yes I'm helping with the California Power Crisis , I've turned off more women than Achebe
Well first outcomes from the trade did go completly in my disfavor - didnt even improve my defense - but this was just one game, and I still think I upgraded at defense. Luckily (nothing's official yet) this trade or my seemingly stupid rosted moves di not cost me the game. I thought that I could score in the 40's but was not convinced that would bring a win. And it could've been a loss as Stars as of now have 43fp with one or two left to be counted. My fears after day one was brought to shame as everything clicked the second day bringing my highest score to date. I'm currently at 85 - and I know that my always late kickers FG is not counted yet so I should have 88. Big effort in this win from my QB Casey Weldon (25fp) who made me forget about leaving Druckenmiller out (27fp). WR Stepfret Williams (15fp)and especially TE Ed Smith (9fp) and Off flex RB Jimmy Cunningham (10fp) scoring higher than their average. My defensive players also got their scores adjusted considerably up in the recount, as they had some sacks and interceptions that were not counted. Current scores: #4 Cats (3-2) 81 #5 Necks (2-3) 51 No surprise here as Cats will get the win against a QB-less Necks. But the effort put up by Necks is their best of the season, and when Pawlasky is back from injury no-one should feel safe against Rens team. Summer Songs team hope to edge back into the top of the league with their top fp-producing team. #7 Codfish (1-4) 26 #3 Spoilers (4-1) 24 Fadeways Codfish can still pull of the surprise win here, but Spoilers have 3 defensive players not counted they should be able to secure a win for DAROs team. If they can not - then leaving RB Saladin McCullough (24fp) on the bench will have cost Spoilers this win. #2 Smashers (4-1) 40 #8 Maniacs (0-5) 9 After nearly pulling out a win against the top team in the league Maniacs have fallen back to earth putting up only 9fp so far. Smashers secures 2nd place in the standing as Spoiler have less outcome from their match that also might end up as a loss. #6 Stars (1-4) 43 #1 Reindeers (5-0) 85 Stars got good production as their newest team members put up good numbers againt their old team. But with QB Pawlaski out with injury Stars could not hold Reindeers who had players with monster production. ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
I think he's injured - not benched for poor play... ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
lol ,funny thing is that I was going to package up Salad...whatever and a wr for a qb but I didn't think I'd get any takers hahaha I told ya I didn't need no stinkin qb ! ------------------
yeah, everything did go as expected as Spoilers cruised in for the win in the recount with no QB needed. Do you need one soon DARO? I have two that now produces egg-stremly well. Just have to find out if Weldons injury is serious before trading away Druckenmiller. Or perhaps I'll let Weldon go? ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
