If you're talking about the pic, it was drawn by a clearly mentally ill guy in a pool bar in Chicago during the last Smeg tour.
No, it was about the return of heyp. Plus, mrpaige posted in the Chris Tucker thread. What year is this?
so, can someone refresh me on this. I made the original post the day before I left for a two week vacation out of internet range in Colorado.. Man,,,,that was sweet? I think I missed that new Yao commercial though. don't know about anyone else, but i'm ready for the play. just need some darts and tarts at rudz for finishers. what is best for BJ?
Hey partner, Any night is good by me. As long as we have tickets left. Reservations are in order. The show is killing and the further we get into the run the harder it will be to get tickets. Reservations are in order. As far as when I'm free to hang out after, I mostly always am. Not this Saturday night, but otherwise. But I'm not quite free to hang out like I usually do. As a result of the show going so well, we're using off hours to make some kind of complicated video in order that the show have a life beyond this production (largely at Daniel's urging - he freaking loved it) and that means I have to be at the theater early each weekend morning to shoot. Which puts a damper on my usual social habits. All that said, pick a night (other than this Saturday) and I'm there. But pick a sooner rather than later date - some of y'all might want to see this twice.
You got one hell of a memory, Kelly. You're different than Daniel that way. He hardly has any memory at all. What you have to understand about that is that you hadn't ever posted here, I posted a comment to some thing you wrote in some other place (in which I called our team the Rox, sure) and you made some dismissive, snarky comment (like you journalists do, okay) about how silly it was that Rockets fans sometimes called their team the "Rox." And maybe it was, probably it was, but you didn't come off as any kind of Rockets fan -- you just came off as one of those sports writers that regularly disses and dismisses the Rockets and the fans silly enough to like them -- and around these parts we have some history with being dismissed by reporters, so when you showed up here I didn't like you. I do now. For the record. But still, that's some kind of memory.
bj...this friday at 8pm...fingers crossed. as for other bbs'ers i'll reserve up to 4 tickets....more info on that tomorrow. RM95 has first priority, since you know...since he has more posts than me and all, and we all think rimbaud will probably be going to see Gore's new movie anyhow...quite the socializing activity. but really...email me here if you in wanna go: danieljohnston.20.heypartner@spamgourmet.com first two people who can tell me who Chuck Brown's best fan is gets a free pass... if not....we'll plan for Rudz afterward the play. about 10:30 or 11pm ? Friday....tomorrow! The 2nd
hey jason, just got me email up again. wasn't sure if you have email here in town. I posted on the board. do I have any chance to get 4 tickets for Friday like I promised there.
Damn. I know who Chucky Brown's best fan is -- I know his real name and everything, not just the moniker -- but I already have free tickets. Friday's good. And the show's done at 10:00. We could make Rudz by 10:30. If you call today (Thursday) you should be able to get tickets for Friday. The reservation number's 713-522-8443. p.s. Who's "Jason?"
oops, who is Jason, and why was that a post rather than an email....i'm still in the mountain air, i guess. anyhoot...Friday is down. Have to skip my Valhalla shift, but the managers owe me. If anyone wants to go another weekend for the show or for darts...sorry for the short notice....but I think we can still do any of the other weekends as well.... just that this weekend is what I've heard rumors saying is the best Friday to go... i'm pretty sure....
Til June 24th, but don't wait or you won't be able to get a ticket. Thanks, DaDakota. Will let you know if we make it there. Or you could just come here. Aren't you retired? Grab grandma and gas up the mobile home. Road trips are what retired folk do.
Even if you don't know who Daniel Johnston is this show is worth it. IBP does an amazing job of interpretting Daniel's music. It's a beautiful show and worth every penny. Here's another drawing of a Batman Jones Meetup
Cool. I don't think I can make it this weekend. The way it's shaping up, we couldn't make it until the weekend of the 16th. If nothing else, I'd really like to grab a beer or 6 with you guys.
I'm leaning towards Friday the 9th to see the play. rimbaud....you interested? How about for a Dallas/Suns game? Either tonight or Sat? Or will figure out another day, later.
