    We currently have 10 people signed up for the league. I would like to have 15-20. You can still join the league-- it'll be a lot of fun. Here is what teams and what posters are signed up as of this moment. If you aren't in yet and you want to join, please post below what team you want that isn't taken already and you're in.

    Some rules:

    1. This game will be simmed on NBAlive2001. Each team will have their teams roster as of today. You can put your starting lineup however you want-- please realize though that starters automatically play the most minutes on this game, so if you have a dynomite 6th man, starting him will give him more minutes.

    2. I will have a rosters thread in a few minutes in which you need to post your teams roster the way you want it to be put in the game-- like a depth chart. I'll post mine first in case you don't know what I'm talking about. Every time you make a trade or decide you want a change in your lineup, post another reply with your new lineup in that thread.

    3. Trading will occur in the trade discussion thread I create, via email, or via AIM. Post tradeable players, etc. in the trade discussion thread and see what offers you get.

    4. If you have NBAlive2001, do not trade based on their ratings in the game you have. Everyone's ratings will be different-- I am making them to be reflective of their current value to the team. They also will fluctuate somewhat during the season based on their play in real life. I want to make this as realistic as possible, and I feel like this is the best way, so trade based on how the players do in real life.

    5. Injured players WILL count on this game, except those out for the year. It is too hard of a hassle to keep up with every NBA injury and then take them out of the games accordingly. So players like Danny Fortson, Theo Ratliff, etc. who are hurt for now but may be back soon will count on the game and can be drafted. However, guys like Zo, Grant Hill, Penny, and others out for the season cannot. I will also turn on the injuries feature on the game-- again to make it as realistic as possible. So please note if you trade for a Fortson type guy that he is injury prone and might miss some games for your team. I will post an updated list of injured players every night.

    6. Games will be simmed and scored every night, and updated standings and injuries for that night will be posted here in this forum. Check this forum often. Simming will begin Sunday night-- you have until then as the preseason.

    7. While players will be rated according to their performance in real life, for some reason or another they might under or overperform in this game. To find out how a player is doing, you may ask me for his stats and I will do my best to get back to you with them.

    8. We will be holding a 3 round draft for players from those teams not taken (probably 15 or so). The draft order will go from worst to first-- the teams with the worst record after 15 games will get the first pick. So let me give a hypothetical scenario. No BBS member takes the Suns as a team. Someone takes the Bulls and they have the worst record after 15 games. Subsequently, they get the first pick in the draft and can add Jason Kidd to their team. Hope that is somewhat clear. The team with the worst record has the top pick in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds-- the team with the best has the last. Each team has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounder to trade with. Remember that these picks have LOTS of value-- even the 3rd rounders. Considering this looks like around a 15 team league, that means you can draft any player from the 14 not taken.

    I want to do this, and after studying the crappy teams that were left to choose from I'm going with the Jazz. [​IMG]

    (I wish i had NBA Live 2001 so I could know how they rated the players)

    I dont think you should adjust the players ratings because its kind of subjective. Just let the sim run. Also, its kinda sucky for rookies because some rookies are not getting the minutes they need to be good in the NBA. But in the Sim, if you start them, they should be good.

    Nomar-- Not everyone's rating will be changed. Most are fair. But there are a lot of players who are CLEARLY under or overrated, and I think for the betterment of the game they need to be changed. I'm leaving Swift's rating alone, so he'll be ok on the sim. Don't worry. [​IMG]

    Are you gonna change any ratings on the Jazz? Like Marshall? If so I'd want to change my lineup.

    Marshall was upped a little bit obviously to reflect his season. I'm basing all ratings on real life.
