DL says they will pick Randy Foye if he is at 8. Rajon Rondo is the only other possibility. Luther Head was so solid, why not add a small guard that is better.

He mentioned too, that the team plans to get MJ, and then resign Bogans and use a combination of Bogans and Bowens for the "tall guard" all the internet junkies are pining for.

DL did mention Reddick was an intriguing possibility. To enable defensive teams to only be able to double off of Bogans, Juwon, Stro, Alston (more often that not), and our designated sniper Luther Head. He said that JJ's height, athleticism and 25'foot range would need a Ron-Artest caliber player to defend him every night.

He also said that himself, Vassilis Spanoulis and CD drew straws to see who would go to the lottery for them. Why they took so long to invite him over for some sort of activity with the team, was advice given to him by friend and spiritual mate Pat Ewing.

    Thats all I got....

He also said he's very disappointed in CD for not winning the lottery. JVG taught him not to make excuses when it comes to winning and losing, so the low ping pong balls shouldn't be an excuse for CD to lose the draw. He's hoping for a better year and Morey will get us the #1 next year.

Moreover, he's considering to moving up to #1 this year. He said if some package like Yao + #8 + future 1st rounder would make Toronto happy, it will be hard not to get the #1 this year.

For the JJ Redick remark. I also think DL is in love with him. He said JJ would be his #1 overall pick if the Toronto trade goes down. One thing you missed, Francis3422, is that DL didn't say you have to guard Reddick with Artest, he said Reddick IS an Artest type of player.

He did a good job of a mock recap, but come on guys, you didn't catch on by the time he said DL said Pat Ewing was his mate and spiritual mentor? For shame. :D

i just caught the tail end of it.

DL was talking about keeping options open. he mentioned trading the pick as a possibility. talked about needing someone who can contribute right away and a rookie may not be the best choice.

said he, CD, and JVG are working on getting on the same page. said JVG would like to add different kinds of players than he and CD would like to add. JVg would like to see more vets added and wants to target a guy like sam cassell with the MLE and maybe go after p.j. brown via trade. JVG wants 30+ y/o players who "he can trust" and if they played in NY then "they can handle intense media which they will see in the playoffs". DL and CD would like to go after euro players who can play multiple possitions saying that "you can allways find a role for a tweener with a jump shot, and developing an NBA game is easy for them". sited such players as v-span, tskitishvili, sarunas, and kryapa.

that's all i got, but at least we're in good hands and on the right path.

Will JVG ever learn? We need to use this pick and not trade it for another washed up 30 year old. Cassell is fine with me, but PJ Brown is reaching Mutombo's age. I don't want to trade a lottery pick for a really old booger. (Unless J.R. Smith comes in return) And I thought we have learned our lesson from the Boki's in the NBA?

P.S. This better not be another sarcastic post.
