I know there is thread about him already but.....I'll be more than happy with Carney at 8. I think what our team needs badly more than anything is a tall 2guard. Carney seems to be the player we're looking for. Check out this article:http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=76, I know this is just one random article but I think under TMAC's tutoring and JVG's teaching this guy can be a great help to our team offensively and defensively. Not to mention Carney is a senior so he has college experience.

Big fan of Carney or Roy. Either at 8 would be great. I do not see us trading down at this point so 8 is not so bad.

I'd prefer Roy or Gay, but as long as Carney doesn't go around shooting at his ex-girlfriend, I can probably live with it.

Carney, Roy, then Williams (Shelden). I would be OK with any of those three (and probably in that order).

I like Carney at #8, Roy and Gay won't fall this low, but they would get the nod if they did.

Carney would add some much needed size and athleticism to our backcourt. Athletically, he is probably the 2nd best prospect behind Gay. His athleticism plus his long arms could make him a very good defender, especially if JVG can get into his head.

Ronnie Brewer, Rodney Carney or Marcus Williams....in that order. Many people don't know about Brewers game because Arkansas wasn't covered nationally the way Memphis or UConn were, but this kid can flat out play. I saw him play a couple of times and he reminded me of a bigger version of Dwayne Wade. For a draft that's not supposed to be deep, I can see us getting a very good pick at #8.

Agree with you on Tyrus Thomas. I just hope some team takes him 1-7 so another player gets pushed down to us.

I like Brewer too. I don't know about the Dwayne Wade comparison but this kid reminded me of Tayshaun Prince when I saw him play.

Please no Redick. I would be ok with Carney. If Marcus Williams moves in the top 7 it could drop a better player down to us. I want Sheldon Williams with the 8th pick but I think the Celtics will take him with the 7th pick.

    Dear God NO!!!

We need some length and athleticism to help us become a more versatile team in what has become a more uptempo western conference. If we want a "specialist" we can re-sign Frahm.

u might be right, we need athleticism.. BUT WE ALSO NEED A GREAT CONSISTENT SHOOTER AT THE 2, AND I THINK J.J WILL BE THE ANSWER... say yes to Redick... he is kind of a specialist, but a very good specialist, u cant compare him with Frahm.. JJ can create for himself even against College Defense (at his size, that's really good)... and he has these crazy passes.. the kid is smart.. that's all we need, a young Jon Barry..

Shots can improve through hard work. Length and athleticism cannot.

but it's JJ man.. JJ.. not any random shooter... I love his release and his game... but if we can get Carney or Gay in 8th, I would go for it..I dont think we will be able to get one of them in 8th though.. and I dont like taking SHelden.. so the order will be like this: Gay, Carney, then JJ...

With McGrady & Ming geting all the attention, we need shooters big time. An athetic shooter would be ideal, but we do not need any more guys that can not hit the outside jumper. If you look at Dallas, they may be atheletic, but Terry & Stackhouse can flat out hit their jumpshots at a high percentage.
