I hope the Suns stomp their ass!

Can't believe they pulled that off against SA. Hope Nash can punch Terry out for the series....

I can't believe i have to go from wanting the Spurs to win to wanting the Suns to win. This season just keeps getting worse.

I can't believe we have such class around here to purposely misspell a team's name in the thread title.

We don't live in Salt Lake or Dallas or San Antonio....

    Or do you?

I'll pick the team that scores the most points in 4 games to win the series. :D

I pick the Heat in the East, and to win it all.

I don't really care who wins.

I'm confident either Miami or Detroit will beat the winner of this series.

I do live in Dallas and have to hear the crap when I go back to work tomorrow. Sucks.

It really sucked more to see Cuban jumping around happy and ****. I think Ginobili should have had a better shot at the basket at regulation.

No doubt! Bob was wide open!

(I live north of Dallas -Plano- and don't really like the Mavs... but come on. I pick the Heat to win it all, FWIW.)

Ouch, I agree with tinman... not liking any of the remaining teams.

Suns to win it all without Amare!

The Suns are dangerous for the Mavs. Honestly, they can probably give Dirk more fits than any other team. TMac exposed the fraud that Dirk is on the block- the answer is to guard him with a quick, lengthy player (TMac), or a perimeter player that can stay in his grill (Bowen). The Suns can throw Diaw, Marion, Tim Thomas, and Raja Bell at him, which bodes well for them. The Suns problem is they can't guard anyone on the block - which is why Elton Brand got off on them, royally.

The problem for the Suns will be backcourt quickness. I like Diaw or Thomas on Dirk with the other holding the non-factor center, Marion on Howard is the one time Howard won't have an athleticism edge, plus they can neutralize Stackhouse with Raja Bell, but there will be huge responsibility on Nash, defensively. Both Terry and Harris have huge quickness edges on Nash, and Phoenix doesn't have a true shotblocker at the rim. That is the key matchup for Dallas to exploit.

Phoenix complicates things more for Dallas because they can't hide Dirk defensively. If Thomas continues his aggressive play, he's not just a stand still 3-point shooter and can take Dirk out of the picture for defensive rebounds. Diaw is a playmaker and would probably love to see the double team come at him, and Marion? Yeah, right.

The season series was split, but the Suns won the last 2 games, and one of the losses was a double OT loss before Diaw was a fixture in their lineup. In the last 3 games (which he started) against the Mavs, Diaw averaged 18 pts, 8.7 rebs, 7 assists, and 1 block.

I rooted for the Clippers in the last series, but since Dallas advanced, I'm glad Pheonix did, too. I think they stand a better chance against Dallas and may be able to out-smallball Dallas in a couple games or two; it's not like Dallas has a consistant inside game that the LAC hurt them with. And with their clutchiness, they may be able to extend the series to 6 or 7 (yeah im probably dreaming)... I wish Nash were healthier - he absolutely killed them last year. I don't see him making baby-hooks over Dirk this year - though Dirk is still such a pansy that he just still might.

    Man, I hate this. :(

No more championships to the state of Texas unless the team is the Houston Rockets. No more! no more!

I don't care what happens as long as Nash doesn't usurp Dream's claim of having taken the least talented supporting cast to a championship.

Nash is taking a lesser talented team.

Dream's team was full of talent.

    Rookie,

Not only was Dream the MVP, that team had the greatest players helping him out. I would compare our team with the Celtics and the Lakers.

Horry, Cassell, Maxwell, Drexler, Thrope, Kenny Smith, Herrera, Elie

each player brought chemistry, athleticism, defense, offense and quickness

We had a great coach who proved that loyalty and character are part of the game. An innovator too, moving Horry to PF/SF. playing Cassell off the bench.

Rookie, understand if you remove Nash from the Suns and Dream from the Rockets that Rockets team will destroy the Suns.

    Rookie,
That was the best team of the 1990s. Easily better than the Bulls. As long as rookies dont know about the Rockets championship years, then I will be here. anytime, anywhere to educate.

    Stone Cold,
The Rockets don't have any NBA Dvds people could buy.
I know the Lakers have a million. People on this board need to take a Rockets test before they join. I'm not saying they have to be hard core fans, they just need to watch the games first before making generic assumptions like the 1st championship team was a 1 man team. while everyone knows that Dream destroyed David Robinson, it was Horry who made the key shots to ice the game. Same with the 1st championshp, they need to know the story of choke city to clutch city by watching the actual games.
