They need to be raided while people are caught in the act otherwise it's hard to get evidence against them. They make you get naked before they proposition you to make sure you are not wearing a wire. Without a recording of a deal taking place there is not enough evidence to bust them.
If you believe all of those stereotypes then you truly are a racist. Yes, some people fit the descriptions, but if you believe in everything the media is propagation--with all their filth and lies then I feel sorry for you. Maybe you need some God in you life to see through all of the poison the world is full of these days.
Back to the thread topic how do these places stay open? we have them up in Austin -- they're totally obvious with big 'private modeling' etc signs on the outside. How do they pull it off -- oh wait let me rephrase that...
King of Cheetahs, you underestimate the need for private models this day and age. I practically won't even THINK about buying lingerie anymore without some modeling from a comely lass of marrying age. Likewise, my career as a part-time artiste is aided whenever I might need to make a quick sketch late at night ("here, darling, hold this banana just so") to finish off one of my larger pieces. Private models are practially ESSENTIAL this day and age, as if the public sector could supply my modeling needs. Harrumph.
Whats a good massage place thats reasonably priced? A real massage...not the asian massage hoochie house spa's.
what if you went into a "sexy" massage parlor, and just asked for a regular massage? That could be on Candid Camera- or maybe in Candid Camera in Japan.
I love that that scientist spent all that time and money with his new DNA experiment and all he could tell us was "It may have been a woman." Brilliant, Watson.
If he had said the Asian lady had propositioned him to do his math homework that might be stereotyping. Normally when I think of massage parlors I think of a good time.
Talking to a cop, he said if there are no complaints or no other activity going on such as drugs, violence, robberies, etc. the police will pretty much leave it alone. If any of those other activities are taking place, and they get complaints they will move in. But the issue is with all the other stuff going on in the city, is it a good use of manpower to go bust a massage place or a nail place that offer 'other' services in the back? You pretty much have to be looking for that kind of stuff to go in there in the first place, so it isn't hurting anyone. On FM1960 last year alot of those places got busted because they were using slave labor in those places. Up until then, the police were content with letting the spas stay open. No point in claiming you closed 3 massage parlors while the murder/theft rate is skyrocketing.
Whatever you do, DO NOT go to a Massage Envy. I've been on two different occasions (once was a gift certificate for xmas) and it was by the worst massages I've ever had. I think I could have done better with one of those handhelds.
