As unusaul as it may look, I am going to stop busting Rudy for awhile. I have been right about that post-up crap is what killed Rockets the first month. Now, tonights win is for real. Why? Because, they were setting picks and moving around, suddenly you see an undermaned team beat a so called elite team with a "2000 backcourt". I have got to think that Rudy did something, even though I have been very critical of him. So, my guns goes to the safe, I will watch what happens next. Mean while, keep team game going, Rudy.
I think its because Hakeem is out. So this team is starting to run. Hakeem wants the ball all the time. Now he is not here. So rudy can finally run for more than 1 quarter.
Glad that the pressure is off Rudy for now We always talk about offense, but what about our D?! Look at the firepower on the Suns, and we had mostly new and young players on the court to stop them. We looked like swarming bees. I still believe that good D distinguishes good coaches from the mediocre and weak ones. Other than Rudy, look at Karl, Riley, Phil (miss anyone?). If the Lakers contend this year, it may be because of their improved defense.
Right on, Cohen!! So many points off turnovers!!! We are a running team and the run begins with good defense and rebounding.
cavestool, "Guns on safety, and I am going to stop busting Rudy for a while". absolute genius. What is that? The ROCKETS are a totally new team for 2K and it is up to the players on the floor to get it done. They are jelling and showing good D and transition ball. With talk about HAkeem, his D will be missed. Barkley and Anderson amidst others are now runnin the floor and that is and has been- Rudy ball. The Rocks are runnin and Cato is jammin. Cat and Anderson have been cold but now are more in sync. Rookie Thomas is now low in the rotation. Long season. Team Sport- Go ROCKETS ------------------ We would like to get rookie Francis on the break for some easy scoops in the first quarter...
i thought that rudy would be safe after the team jelled, even when i digressed and took a shot or two at the great one, when a rotation confused me, etc. i just had to keep reminding myself that i said '20 games'; now to manage expectations: we've jelled before 20 games, we'll hit .500 in 30 some odd games (maybe less, the schedule for this month is fair) i predict rudy's life will be as easy as he lets it be... we'll take this insurmountable road for the next 2 months rather handily... rudy'll look like the genius, and those of us who waivered will scurry to reaffirm our trust in his skills... his next big test: how many games cusion does he build above .500 before he lets keith clear dream?
Does this mean that Caveman is going to go in his cave for a while? ------------------ Doesn't Rudy know that there are geniuses at clutchcity.net!!
