They don't need to be tough on him, but hopefully Rich and Mark will PREPARE and be sure to ask all the specific questions about his back, workouts, the team going forward, etc. You know, Rockets stuff. If he dodges the questions at least they tried. If they spend the whole time with him gushing over the NBA playoffs and LeBron it will be another blown opportunity like Lance and John with JVG.
i hate interviews where the interviewer(s) don't talk about the issues that the listeners care about. no one really cares what tmac or jvg think about lebron or the nba playoffs that they aren't in. they want to know where the team is going after last year and how tmac plans to stay healthy and how his rehab is going. i hate bad interviews, they are such a waste of time.
I hope they ask him why his eyes were darting around as he sipped a Mountain Dew in that commercial a few years ago.
Keep us out of towners informed. Didn't really need to say it, but I haven't posted very regularly in a while and am trying to get back in the flow. I don't want to be rusty come training camp
You said he's on 610? Has the interview allready passed? I'm listening right now and its about the Texans.
I will be very disappointed unless somebody (Mark, Rich, a caller, anybody) asks him what his daily regimen is for his back. What is he doing to strengthen and loosen his back to reduce the probability of having the same problems next year? I'd like him either to (A) acknowledge there's a problem and that he's focused on beating it or (B) hear him say that there's nothing chronic about his back at all - it was just a freak accident that started all of the problems. But if says something like "oh, my back could go at any time, but that's life" or something else nonchalant, I say trade him. There have always been questions about Tracy's work effort, and I'd like to hear him say that he takes the problem seriously.
If someone asks and he refuses to clearly answer about his back, so be it. Maybe the Rockets don't want him saying too much right now. But Mark and Rich must put him on the spot about it.
I'll be worried if he answers the question with "I feel good" or "I'm ready to play". After all this time, he should know more about the problem. So if he's not willing to say, it's trouble.
If he is getting significantly better, why won't he talk about it? And why Rox won't want him saying too much...? If that is the case, I would say it is only that he is still in trouble, and might be a long term trouble.
