I noticed some people are asking why the Rockets are winning without Francis, so I try to provide some answers. Before Franics went out for his injury, the Rockets were already coming together, they won over the Griz and should have beaten the Suns if it were for that ******* ref Mathis. So Francis went out and the Rockets won games is just a natural continuum. The reason that Francis took many shots was because the other teammates' shots weren't falling in. He would be getting better at the point, right now his problem is he tried to do fancy things or sometimes simply too much. He should be inspired seeing the way Drew plays, don't do anything fancy, just pass the ball and shoot while you are open. He needs to know that passing more than shooting is beneficial in two ways, it helps the teammates and eventually they will feed the ball back to you as if they are point guards. Once he does that he and the Rockets would be OK. I think the Rockets would be definitely better once he comes back, not the other way around.
I like how he is playing!! Keep up those fancy moves francis. Its pretty fun watching your nice hop while coming up the floor. Im tired of watching Bryce Drew Running 100mph up the floor or just walking. AND OTHER THING IS ... KEEP UP THOSE TIGHT ASS DUNKS... DAMN HURRY BACK. I MISS THE EXCITEMENT!!
Oh hell yea, great post FinalFantasy. The notion that the Rockets are a better team without Steve Francis is ludicrous. Absurd, ridiculous. I think that his teammates just hadn't found their groove yet, and let's also remember that we've only been running this new offense since the beginning of the week. Obviously, its new coming together. Just wait until he gets back. After watching from the bench, he was able to see his teammates strengths, making this team much better.
One more game that I have to watch Boring Bryce Drew. ( I know after this post.. 20 bryce drew fans will jump all over me) Bryce Drew is sooo boring.. I miss Steve Francis, he brings excitement. I miss that quick ass crossover. Bryce Drew doesnt have one. I miss those nice dunks, bryce drew cant touch the net. BASICALLY I WANT STEVE FRANCIS BACK!!!!
I think Francis and Drew will complement each other this year. It's going to be fun watching other teams try and adjust to these two.
I agree with you finalfantasy, this is going to get fun, when we get the kid back. I think the few games he has seen nursing the injury from the bench, will be very beneficial. I think that allowed him to learn, how each of his teammates play the game, and watch when he comes back, the Rockets will be killing people. I really like him, and with Drew behind him, gives us a good tandem to go with the rest of the year. It should be fun watching this team. I just wonder what will happen when Hakeem comes back....
