    Whoa!

This is HUGE! IMO, Jason Terry has been THE key for the Mavs the past two seasons. The gy is freakin' clutch and their go-to guy in a close game. I like Devin Harris and all, but Terry is HUGE for the Mavs's chances at beating the Spurs.

If this leads to the Spurs winning in Dallas, this suspension could prove to be the biggest factor in the entire series.

Apparently for punching Finley with 3 seconds left in the game. I remeber seeing a shot of Finley after the scrum for the first jump ball, being restrained by teamates and giving a "punch in the ribs" gesture to them. I was wondering what happened there, but nothing came of it...until now.

Finley had to be restrained by several Spurs after this incident close to the end of the game...the announcers didn't pick up on why he was going after Terry.

Wow. The Spurs will now have to stop Devin Harris, who I bet will start in place of Terry. Hope the Spurs force Game 7.

Need to see a replay before making a final judgement but I'll assume he's guilty as charged. Just as stupid as what Raja Bell did. In addition to Devin Harris stepping up a notch, this is the kind of thing that could push Terry out the door in Dallas. I've had the feeling he's gone anyway but this should slam the door behind him. We could find out if the Mavs have a fragile lockerroom. Nash and D'Antoni kept the Suns together but Avery will have a tougher job with cats like Dirk & Stack. I wonder if Dirk will open his mouth again.

That is REALLY stupid... especially if it was just an isolated incident that caused him to pop (at least Raja Bell had his situation building up with Kobe over the entire season, and 5 games).

I also think Avery will be royally pissed at this whole situation, and Terry's bone-headedness, if Dallas doesn't end up advancing... or even if they do.

Last nite when I was watching the game and saw the replay, I was shocked that the announcers didn't mention it. Terry may have just cost the Mavs the series :D

I was wondering why the heck the game announcers didnt notice anything. As Terry was on the ground and Finly and Ginobili were trying to pry the ball away in the closing seconds, Terry punched Finley right where the sun doesnt shine.

Jason Terry is a punk. I dislike him for all crowing, posing, clowning around et al that he does almost every single time down the court. I didn't like it one bit when he did it against us last season and I don't like it one bit now that he's pulling the same stunts in the Spurs series.

Exactly... I was doing some other stuff while the game was on, and obviously I'm not going to be fixated on the replays... but I figured at least Steve Kerr (with his Spurs-colored glasses on) would have been hopping all over the table, kicking and screaming that Terry just commited a huge mistake, and would be reprimanded by at least a 1 game suspension (and believe me, he would have been saying this with a HUGE smile on his face).

Maybe Marv's toupee got in the way of his vision... or maybe he was making googly eyes at Poppovich.

I live in San Antonio and absolutely dread the thought of the Spurs winning another championship. With that said, after the game, in typical Spurs fashion, was bombared with many text messages, many of them including Jason Terry punching and to be suspended. I've seen the replay and knowing that durring the regular season Horry went Hannibal Lecter on Stackhouse, you knew that something was going to happen. Finley jumped on Terry after Terry had called Timeout, so with 2.4 seconds to go, you knew something have had to happen. I think it's crap.

Moreover, I did call up a few Spurs buddies of mine and explained the travesty I had just witnessed across my living room with the "Never underestimate the heart of a champion" poster. The least I could do was to give a fair warning, and for them to post it on their many message boards to restrain themselves from ever using that slogan, to my dismay, also again in typical Spurs fan fashion I was rewarded with the "It suits are team better, sorry man, we will use it" and "well since the rockets are doing well in the playoffs, oh wait they are not in it" comments, I wish nothing more than for them to lose this series. There is not a bone in my body that has any sympathy for these fans. One Spurs fan called into the radio station and I sh*t you not said, "We ought to send these Mavs fans to Iraq." Need I say more? These fans are ruthless SOB's

Ok well i rewinded, went slow motion, and in one angle you can barely see an arm go up and go for finleys ribs, yet this is before he hits him in the head with his hip....

The NBA obviously has a better view than you.

Also, Cuban said that Terry definitely deserved to be fined, but not suspended... but frankly, that's what I thought about Raja Bell and some of the other suspensions this post-season... the NBA is just getting suspension happy, and if even Cuban is admitting that Terry's offense was fineable, something definitely happened.

Let's hope Terry gets kicked out and signs with us as payback. Ofcourse, he'd probably leave his jumpshot in Dallas.

Will Dallas really let him go though? He's done so much for them these playoffs, nice way to reward him.

Let's hope the Spurs take advantage and win this in 7. And as for the slogan stealing, it isn't our slogan because we never won the championship
