It's early in the season. Our young squad is looking more and more promising...defense, Stevie, offense, shooting..all improving rapidly. Then we have the ol' boys in Salt Lake... a vet team you'd think would be ready to play (before they tire midway through the season), yet and we are only 4 games behind them (and Minnesota too). They are barely over 500 ball. We will only get better. I think we have the ability to put together some win streaks (we certainly showed our endurance last nite). Personally, I hope that either Rocks and T-pups make it, or Rocks and Jazz...and we (and Shandon) knock the Jazz out. It's early, we're behind, but I think that this team will make the playoffs.
Call me an eternal positive person... but I have always stated from the beginning that this squad was going to require some time ! some people jumped ship but I and many of you have hung in there because to your credit U saw what I saw and that is that this team is too talented for this kind of early performance to be something permanent and because of so many new guys it was going to require some time to start jelling , and don't forget that even though extremely talented our team was not gonna start winning till Steve francis got some NBA games under his belt and realized what he needed to do... now if we see the diference between his 1st game and his latest we can see such an improvement .... let's face it.. he is going to be a SUPERSTAR ! no question about it ! even Rome (I hate saying this) said that he might eventually have an impact like MJ did ...... that right there is big props people.... real big !!! and I actually feel the same way... the next Jordan , NO... 20 yrs from now we are going to be saying .. the next FRANCIS ! yes , that is how good he is gonna be ! People , don't worry we are going to be just fine... we might now win it all but we are going to make some major noise... and to tell u the truth , u never know !
Gotta agree on that... Francis is not just the REAL DEAL...he is THE DEAL. His game is a superlative. So close to his first triple double, and 0 turnovers (with fruit flying through the air)...that's shocking. This team is exciting. Can't say I will miss the old offense too much...although it worked well enough to get 2 titles!
