    Nice read, thanks Clutch.

    Too bad V-span wasn't mentioned.

I like how he singles out Nacbar and Welsch...but really, what has Nene ever done to "validate" the high selection?

block on dunk on malone would've warranted a lottery pick in my book.

Hell, if he punched malone and kicked him in the nuts, I would've taken him number one overall.

Anybody think the Rocks would wait a year for Splitter?

Not me. Waiting for players is for teams who already have solid depth and can afford to wait. After our top two, our team is as bad or worse than any in the league. Especially considering that most of the bad teams - the Hawks, Bobcats, Raptors, Trailblazers (but no, not the Knicks) - are at least loaded with young developing talent. Our team, after Yao and McGrady, is just terrible. We need players that can join the rotation in the worst possible way.

if he is good enough, we could wait

surely our success will be defined by the spine of one of orginal player instead of a euro rookie

Yao improved D, strength and overall paint work means a Euro 4/3 that can spread the D would be a great fit....
