yeah, I do that at home sometimes. I made a sriracha/sour cream dip last night that was really good. If you want something great make french onion dip and mix sriracha in it.
No tomatoes or mayo, just about everything else is fair game. I haven't seen anyone else put down that they put french fries into their burger. Come on, I can't be the only one here that does that.
The greatest fast-food burger in existence. I have different moods, but if I had to choose one for the rest of my life, it'd be Medium Rare Toasted Bun (no seeds) American Bacon Diced Onions Mayo
i just cooked my dry-rubbed, jalapeno/serrano relish topped, texas death row burgers at a 5 day event called the hardcore diner at a gallery in chelsea. it was great to see a room full of new yorkers and art fags turn red and smile like the heat wasn't getting to them.
In all seriousness, the hamburger is the best invention PERIOD. There is this new burger joint that just opened by our house called Texas Wild and they have this Extreme burger and it's loaded. Plus it's at least 1/3 pound. When you put bacon and jalapenos on a hamburger, something magical happens. Beef... It's what's for dinner, tonight.
man, it really varies with my mood (avocado, or grilled mushrooms, or bluecheese, or roasted peppers etc.), but for thread's sake: medium rare toasted buns applewood smoked bacon good BBQ sauce sharp cheddar lettuce pickles spicy brown mustard grilled onions g*ddamn i'm drooling over here....
Tookie's Chili Cheese Burger I can't believe no one has mentioned the frito/bean burger there also! An extra plus would be to have the buns toasted AND buttered
I think it's been a year since I have had a hamburger. Probably a good 3-4 years since I have had a Whopper.
My favorite hang over burger is a Whataburger plain and dry, double bacon, with 2 orders of hashbrowns piled on top. Emmmm good.
medium well much mustard a little mayo jalapenos cheese (preferably cheddar) lettuce onions The best burger I ever had was the "King Kong" at Mr. Hamburger in Huntsville. Three patties, cheese and jalapenos between each layer, crispy lettuce, juicy onions, just the right amount of mustard and mayo and all on a greasy bun. Yum.
Medium well no tomato no onion a microthin layer of mayo maybe some ketchup or mustard lettuce pickles bacon cheese sometimes jalapenos and/or whatever else might sound appealing to me at the time.
I prefer the Squealer. For those who don't know, Tookie's makes some really interesting Burgers. For instance, The Squealer mixes raw beef in with raw bacon pieces, and then grills it, so you've got bacon "in" the burger. They also do one mixed with white wine, but I don't go down there often enough to try all of their concoctions.
