The Spurs has to be very concerned right now. All their big three have big games tonight and they cannot pull out a win in regulation.

BTW, I cannot see how the Rockets beat out either team in a best of 7 series. The talent gap after Yao and TMac is huge and it's not even funny. Who on the Rockets team are going to match up against Terry, Harrys, Stackhouse and Daniels?

Well first there was contact from both players. And second, if that still warrants a foul on Bowen, either you call it for everybody or you call it on nobody. In playoffs games that is NEVER called.

It was a QUESTIONABLE foul... and a foul that is NEVER called at the end of playoff games (hell, even regular season games) ever.

Dirk wasn't even attempting a shot... he didn't lose possesion... he wasn't even dislodged. Had any of those things happened, a foul call would have been more believable.

Also, if Duncan was guarding Dirk (like he is now), he likely wouldn't have gotten that call.

    All-in-all... BAD FOUL CALL.

Here's my problem with Dallas fans... you can't have it both ways. See, they rely on cliches that aren't in the rulebook to explain the breaks they get such as "the aggressor gets the benefit of the doubt." That's fine, but another cliche that isn't in the rulebook is that minimal contact like that in the last 10 seconds isn't a foul. You can't selectively apply some of the cliches and leave others out, and that's what Dallas is doing in attempting to justify the officiating.

Kerr needs to stop saying these phrases after every made Spurs basket:

    "Unbelieveable"

    "This is amazing"

    "This is ridiculous"

Nobody. That's why we were 0-8 against both teams this year.

I don't think Dallas fans care nearly as obsessed with the officiating. They are probably just enjoying the game and enjoying their team. If Dallas is able to get calls, they'd be stupid to not take advantage of that.

They've certainly attempted to justify it.

That's also because they're a bunch of naieve basketball fans who will apparently never realize what real playoff basketball is about, since the NBA has apparently abolished that sort of officiating for all Mavs games.

Seems like adjusting to the way the game is called is a strength of a team. Perhaps if the game was called differently, Dallas would play differently as well. But if they can get to the line, they damn well should.

Like last years series against the Rockets, Jason Terry is the MVP of the series between Dallas and SA.

None of these shots should even be taking place. This game is likely over if not for the Bowen call in regulation.

That or they enjoy basketball instead of just sitting and whining about officiating all the time. If the Rockets are winning a game and the opposing team whines about the officiating, do you really give a crap, or do you enjoy your team's success?

Its not being called both ways, though... Tim Duncan is always going to the basket... but he's not flailing his arms every time, and thus gets far fewer FT attempts (but eventually, he gets more FG's where fouls aren't called).

Dallas sometimes doesn't even make an attempt to get a decent shot off... and you can't say that last foul call on Bowen against Dirk was legit.

The Mavs did bring it in OT, however... this win is far more justified than the last game.

No, much like last year's series against the Rockets, the MVPs are the three men in the striped shirts. If it's Dallas and Phoenix in the WCF... wow that'll be the most miserable series I've had to endure in some time. :(

I'm just calling it like I see it... and its easy to do that since I don't particularly like either of these teams.

I've seen a noticeable advantage in the calls that Dallas gets... and the manner by which they get them.
