this guy rates himself pretty highly to think many people care...

shame we'll never get to see Stone Cold vs Goldberg. The WWE had a small window of opportunity a few years ago but botched it. Austin, hopefully, would of been given the win if these guys did face off.

I don't know if TNA has an extra broom closet.

I think WCW handled him perfectly. The long drawn out entrance and squash matches are about all he's good for.

Unlike the rest of the ex-WCW old-timers that TNA has insisted on bringing in to the delight of NO ONE, I think Goldberg could actually do them some good. He'd be the one guy they have who is built up already to the point that fans consider him on par with the WWE or better.

That said, Goldberg is a touchy ******* who always thinks people are out to get him (not surprising, after a career in WCW). He has never been a team player and has no real interest or investment in the wrestling business. His sole concern has always been keeping his character strong and making piles of cash.

While I think a certain detachment from the business can be a good thing, Goldberg has never been keen on doing jobs to guys that he feels are "beneath" him. TNA already has a few old guys on their roster like Goldberg who can barely wrestle and don't like losing. Not sure they need another.

Also, the problem with Goldberg is that his gimmick has always been that he runs right over everybody in his path. Well, TNA is trying to BUILD the legitimacy of its roster, not tear it down. IMO, they need to wait until they have truly established their own stars before bringing in another fairly useless sack of muscles to destroy them all before taking his money and leaving again.

The thing that makes Goldberg difficult is that he refuses to job to anyone. You can only trot out the old "unbeatable" routine so many times before it gets old.

On the other hand, now that his character is established, it doesn't make sense to have him lose to many people, unless it is because they do something like hitting him with a sledgehammer. You can't have Toad beat the crap out of Colossus.

Didn't want to start a new thread.

TNA had a PPV last night. i caught a little bit of it.

That TNA XCUP gauntlet thing was pretty fun. They had a scoring system.

    It was like this
    USA 5
    Mexico or Japan 3
    Japan or Mexico 2
    Canada 0

the gauntlet battle royal was worth five points. So guess who wins?

That was too easy to predict as Canada wins.

Anyhoo the WWE is coming back to H-town.

too bad it's a house show. Not only that, it's a smackdown House show. :(

The only two worth seeing there is the Undertaker and Booker T. Even if it's not televised, does this mean Booker T gets to lose again?

Look at the ticket prices. Geeeez ****ing willy.
